I started him too, as I have 3/4 of the past years, every time he’s been available from round 1, but in retrospect he really has never been a good starting pick and is someone to avoid starting in the future.
2018 - started the year with his groin injury, played 3 weeks and then missed 6. Came on strong mid year and then got concussed.
2019 - missed the start of the year, built up form, started to dominate and then got injured again
2020- started slow-ish, missed 1 game early and then built up high level form and got concussed.
2021 - started slow and building up form now
This year might be a little different with a role change but I think there’s enough evidence to suggest it takes his body awhile to acclimatise to the season, in future I’ll be aiming to get him as an early trade in target, rather than getting lured in at the start by his ostensible ceiling and majestic aesthetics

He hasn't at any point looked off the boil or slow out of the blocks, just a bit lost playing a position he never should have been in. I don't see his start this year any different to what happens with Dunkley when Bevo is also working his "magic" and playing him away from his best position.
