44th in average turnovers per game last year, fewer than Walsh, T Kelly, Martin, Gaff, Merrett, J Kelly, Macrae, Whitfield, Bont, etc. last year.

Also had the 19th most disposals per game last year, so factoring in both turnover numbers and total disposal numbers, he was much more reliable with ball in hand (in terms of turnovers) on a per disposal basis than most of the competition's mids.
That’s interesting. So the stats don’t bear out the perception. At least a couple you mention above are actually better users of the ball (Whitfield and Dusty at least), but maybe they turn it over more because they are more ambitious with what they try to do with it and often attempt much more difficult kicks. Maybe Adams has tidied up his disposal a bit. I’ll have to have another watch when he comes back.

Disagree. Much better... His be is 30. Needs to either play a full game or nothing at all
Agreed - to be honest he's quite a handy omission at this point in time with his DPP status helping with trades over the next couple of weeks and isn't likely to bleed much cash even if he does play as long as he's not the sub, so I'm hanging onto him for the time being, perhaps even through until round 15 maybe.

I think what sways perception with Adams is the "quality" of his ineffective disposals, often more of the "kick across ground on the angle straight to the opposition under minimal pressure" type versus the "kick down the line to a 50-50 contest" type, unfortunately for us. There also aren't enough really good kicks to cover for the really bad ones in comparison to any of the player's you've named there.

That's what I said . Playing in the VFL is bad enough but it is at least slightly better than him playing as the medical sub again which would be terrible, he doesn't do us much good in either case especially at his price on the bench...totally agree, a full AFL game is what we need out of him.
I think we're both saying the same thing but I'm just waxing more lyrical ;)

“Perhaps of most concern in the early rounds though was his ill-discipline, giving away 16 free kicks in the first four matches to lead the competition in that category.”

“After being hampered by calf and Achilles problems for much of 2020, Zorko looks back to his zippy best, racking up 34 disposals and 14 score involvements in the 73-point romp over Gold Coast on Saturday night.
It was his heftiest output, by numbers, in his past 54 games.”

“His pressure never wavers, ranked sixth in the competition for pressure acts and 10th for tackles.”

“During Brisbane's five-game winning streak, Zorko has averaged nine score involvements a game, up from 6.5 over the opening month. He is now fourth for score involvements across the league and has moved into second for goal assists, showing his versatility and value in both attack and defence.”
