Adelaide 36ers centre Isaac Humphries will concentrate on returning to full strength via a comprehensive knee rehabilitation program.
The 211 cm talent was in fine touch and in MVP conversation last season before injuries cut his season short. Despite his best efforts early this season and the support of 36ers ownership and management as well as the full resources of the medical staff & coaches, Humphries was not able to play pain-free, preventing him from reaching the elite level of play he expects of himself and that his teammates and the wider basketball world had previously seen.
“Issac will take this time to rehab his knee and concentrate on his body in order to get back to the level we know he is capable of. He’s a former NBL Rookie of the Year, has attracted NBA attention and call-ups, possesses a skill-set that’s very hard to find, and has just turned 24. He gave it a real shot this season, but he now needs this time to get the body right”. GM of Basketball, Jeff Van Groningen stated.
Adelaide 36ers Chairman Grant Kelley believes great days are still ahead of the talented centre, “We support Isaac during this time and look forward to seeing him on the court very soon”, Kelley said.
