Hewett been purely inside midfielder and has been the best stoppage player on the ground by a fair way, he wont be playing anywhere else when Walsh is back you wouldn't think.
He's resting forward when he's not starting mid. Seen it when Cripps, Cerra and Kennedy start in the middle. It looks like Hewett has priority over Kennedy though.

Kemp's been alright as a forward but not brilliant. Not where they'll be playing him once McKay gets back anyway I guess. Curnow pretty quiet too though he seems to be moving just fine, based on that run through the middle in the 2nd.

Really disappointed with Boyd.

For the rookie priced players, it looks as though JHF, P Walker and Bergman have played first half for the Roos. Archer, Curtis and Goater yet to be seen.

Chandler has played the first half for the Dees. Yet to see Bedford and Turner.

Chandler the pick of the bunch, who has been lively and kicked 2 goals but may find it hard to crack into the best 22.

P Walker and Bergman have had a few touches for North and I've touched on JHF already who has been very quiet in the 2nd qtr.

Half-time.

At this stage, JHF does not look like a must-have. Most of the Roos mids are out but he has barely spent any time in the middle. He has had a few touches and a couple of tackles playing mostly as a half-fwd. Spotted him at half-back too. Not sure he's worth the expensive price-tag.

P Walker (124k DEF/MID) has been the best of the Roos rookie priced players but not sure whether he's best 22.

Polec has been really bad.

Chandler (124k FWD) has done all he can for a round one spot with 2 goals, several touches and some great pressure but he would need to dislodge Pickett or Spargo unless the Dees decide to play 3 smalls. Very highly regarded within the club.

All the guns are barely getting out of 2nd gear. Oliver has the ball on a string. Thomas has been decent enough for North.

With so many good mid rookie options, he is very expendable especially if playing mainly fwd in an ordinary team, 207K for a mid rookie that is playing mainly fwd is not enticing - much to ponder ...

2nd & 3rd practice on now who are the 6-8 ahead of JHF ? hard to make a call either way until we see all the rest in action (may have minimal impact themselves)

Listening to the commentary of the Blues game, sounds like Cripps was huge?!
I know there was a big discussion on him in another thread, but anything from that game help/hinder him as a pick?!
