100% this and wogitalias's posts above. Its not just the total average thats important - it's the average that on field spot has over the entire year.

Yes - we have extra trades this year. However there is a reason (and its not because the HS wants to make it easier).

Covid will be extremely prevalent this year and cause a lot of forced outages (1 week at best, who knows at worst). Thats why we have these extra trades. It's not to be making the 'perfect team' - I expect we will be struggling most weeks to put 18/22 scoring players on the park. All these extra trades and trade boosts will be used to maximise our playing players - not forming a superteam!

Dammit Cripps…… hard to ignore that sort of a score / performance……

Yes, I have a dirty taste in my mouth for even thinking of the ways I would have to break my team to get Cripps in it...

Strengthening, not breaking

Cripps 21% ownership. Think it was 11% before yesterday.

I think a lot of folks have realised he has more upside than a Sicily or Heeney for the same price.

The big difference here is that Sicily and Heeney are not in the midfielder line. They only need to improve a bit and are keepers. Cripps needs to increase a lot to become a keeper.

Vlaustin pretty much said today gibcus will play round one. I only see Rioli and Gibcus in our best 22 out of those 4.

Really don't know if Berry is going to get the mid time he needs. Most Brisbane fans I saw didn't even have him as a lock in their 22 before the practice game. Neale, Lyons, McCluggage, Bailey, Berry. A lot of mids to fit in at the CBAs.
