Is Lloyd an absolute lock? For $50k less you can get someone like Short or Ridley who shouldn't be too far off. Lloyd obviously the safest backline pick but I don't feel he's going to hurt you too badly if you leave him out. Extra cash will be handy to bolster the rookies.
Not starting Lloyd in 2020 burned my chances of getting higher overall ranking with his 122 average. Last year I did have him in my starting team. However, Sydney have changed their ball use from the back and are playing much more direct footy since last year. He will still post some junk time boosted scores but I think Sydney’s game style change has reduced his potential to burn you for an overall season. That being said, I’m sure he’ll go and prove me wrong this year !

I like the fact there are few $123,000 rookies this year. Going to make things more interesting and challenging, having to pick higher priced rookies, and mid priced players/fallen potential premos. Will be interesting to see what positions get sacrificed to accommodate some higher priced players.
Must be looking at different team sheets to me, the only rookies I see with half decent scoring and JS seem to be upwards of $140k

Re-read your post, my bad I agree. I’ve been in the yard all day and am struggling…….

No drama, hope you are rewarding yourself after a hard day in the yard,if a day in the yard wasn’t rewarding in itself!

I may even pick Rowell if he looks great meaning Ward & D Stephens on the mid bench 😳

MacDonald seems the most possible mid rookie 123k & under - Goater probably unlikely along with C Stephens.
Hough the only other guy I think if he impresses today for WCE.

I have been playing around this afternoon with just 2 premo's + Neale and Cripps. The trouble is what to do with the extra cash? I don't want to fill up defense because of future DDP changes and the premos in the forward line do not look great.
Edit: Dam spellchecker
I've been leaning towards this structure... I currently have one premium + Neale + Cripps, but that's predominantly because I've got Rowell as M4. Realistically there's a fair chance I'll bump him back up to Oliver at some point.
Has the two premo + Neale + Cripps for a while. Question for me is do you take one premium down to a Rowell and upgrade a Hewett/Sicily type player and upgrade another rookie. I have less confidence that many of these 400-450k players are premium and whilst Rowell isn't due not stamina I think, does he just make you 150k.

Hoping I can downgrade Hewett, just not who to yet.
