Does anyone have an insight how to use the corrective trades on SC , does it reverse it without counting it as a trade, for example changed LLoyd to Hall then Crisp , if i hit change will it take it back to LLoyd
I assume that you mean you have performed all trades since sunday.

If you hit 'Reverse trade' it will reset your team to how it looked at the end of round 1, including all Emergencies and VC, C options.

Just rage trades.... definitely would be reactionary and potentially burn trades too early.

That being said, only have Ridley because Lloyd was out. Need to get Martin before Round 3. Heeney had 16 CBA's (5 most in any game last year) - team looks great with this, getting Rachele onto the field (also potential loop with Stephens) and Martin on the field (also potential loop with Durdin)

I hope everyone jumps on board Nick Martin, had a great debut, 17 kicks, 10 hb, 10 marks and 5 goals. Only 114 points. Haven't looked at disposal efficiency, but, if this was Buddy we're looking at 200.

He's sure to get more attention this week, did Geelong put anything into a debutant? Doesn't seem so. Can he maintain the number of touches and goal scoring? I don't think so. So I'm giving it a miss as he'll regress to a 50-60 scorer, add that Stringer and Francis will be back next week, also add Tippa, Jones, Snelling and Waterman who'll come under consideration when fit. It does take one quiet game and you find yourself out, anyway just some thoughts to make an informed decision and not chase yesterday's points.

Essendon could be bolstered by the return of two key players including star matchwinner Jake Stringer for Saturday’s clash against the Brisbane Lions.

Stringer has recovered from a groin issue but will have to prove his fitness at training this week to get the nod against the Lions after the Bombers’ poor first-up loss to Geelong on Saturday.

Swingman Aaron Francis (knee) is also a chance to boost a forward line which managed just three goals to halftime in the 66-point loss to the Cats.
I maybe wrong but I thought Langford getting injured early meant that Martin got much of his wing/half fwd role which he played extremely well - getting the ball in the back half quite a few times then running forward to receive. I don't think Stringer/Francis getting back in the side effects him much at all, it is Baldwin that would be the one that makes way. He runs to the right positions & reads the play well, I can see him making much money early on but your call ...

That was the 3rd game in a row Martin has played well (including the practice games) & Truck made comments about how well he played. The bombers as a team were very poor on the weekend, Martin was the clear shining light. Think he plays many games early on myself.

Gov's role is so lucrative though? He landed heavily in the last quarter so was off for awhile thus missing out on easy points later on but the potential is certainly there for him to score 90s/100s + he his very likely to be given fwd/def status after round 6 making him a perfect pair up with McCartin/SDK. Heeney did look great I agree but is there any other option for than trading Gov to get him?

Yeah, missed the last 8 minutes. Not sure his heavy landing is that out of the ordinary though, always injury prone. Not unhappy with the pick but Martin has to come into my side next week anyway and is a good fieldable option (and Rachele is on my pine currently)

If he can make it to Round 6, that DEF status will be very handy (although Daicos is going straight to defence too)

I'm not sure how lucrative the role is, but it might have just been a poor week for intercept defenders to start the season.

Is there any news about Berry's shoulder injury?

If out long term, I really like Alex Davies as an option - 202K big bodied mid, really liked his game yesterday, scored 90.

A left field option, if looking for a cheap defender I will suggest Luke Foley - 245K. Played across wing/half back yesterday so a very nice role, he is a very nice kick/ solid technique & makes good decisions. Scored 98 yesterday, think he plays alot this year with Cole out long term - he is 22 with an AFL ready body. He was a real positive for WCE yesterday, showed real composure.

I have committed to one trade this week, as long as no injuries happen to it.

Hough to Martin.

I originally had Martin but swapped things around before lockout to move Rachelle on the forwards.

I am now correcting that bit of stupidity...
TT, unless Hough is dropped I would have thought that quite a risky trade for week 1. Hough is one guy I will be considering after round 2 depending on how he scores, as he is cheap and 47 isnt bad by any means. Additionally, week one scores are the first to drop out so they have the LEAST impact on value for the year.

I can see dumping a $180k-$208k rookie with a 50avg as a good move, but a basement priced rookie who is playing is worth hanging onto in my view.

On the trading Gawn out topic I wouldn't exactly talk anyone out of doing it. As a non Gawn owner this is a biased and possibly reactionary perspective but I'm happy I've gone Witts. I just think the extra cash is well used elsewhere rather than having the funds tied up in Gawn. Gawn is still obviously a gun player and will be top 3 in his position but I think the cheap rucks look strong this year. Witts dominated Nic Nat and looked back to his best with the added bonus of having an elite core of mids around him now. Then you have Hayes who looked to cement his place, Preuss who hasn't played yet but I think will be solid, English for R/F cover and Xerri who will gain dpp so there's bail outs if things go wrong. Gawn's ceiling looks limited for mine with his hitouts capped at around 35 with him playing more forward as he gets older I think it's likely to be a 110-120 average and not likely to be the season ruining guy that goes 135+ now. Another small bonus is you get to have a look if Marshall and Darcy can go to another level. Overall if you feel in desperate need of a restructure it's a discussion that's at least worth raising.
