Today's a pretty big day in terms of next week trades. I'm already keen to move Gov and Berry, although Berry was much better later in the game I thought but doesn't get involved enough for me to score consistently so I'd take my chance with a Stephens at a much cheaper price.

Really need Brodie and Xerri to show me something so I can hold these guys.

Skinner and Sinn - going early on these 2 is a massive risk IMO but defender rookies are limited so hopefully better for the run and will watch again next week.

Still thinking rookie adjustments in Stephens and Rachelle - If Zerrett is out I may even just move Berry to Caldwell and grab one of Stephens/Rachelle - probably Stephens.

Can someone that watched the Hawks match closely explain to me Ward's score considering his stats & DT:SC ratio?

I was tossing up whether to burn a trade to Stephens next week as a rookie correction and his effort last night makes the decision all the more confusing.
Got the ball a lot in contests and quickly threw it on the boot, and most of these either got picked off or bounces didn’t go to teammates.

I think he is capable of a spike game, however it is too risky to field him. I unfortunately had to field him due to Soligo being named the medical sub, it was most annoying watching Ward get kick after kick with no SC score benefit.

Missed a game and don't have time to watch the replay to see team's game style and player's role...?
Look no further as our resident game review extraordinaire has all the bases covered.

He has already penned a total of 11,247 words across round 1, that's an average of 1,250 for every game!
So far this round, he's tracking at almost 1,100 per game. If he's as competitive as I feel he is, expect a bumper set of reviews to close out Round 2.

Got 4 North players today. Hall, JHF, TT, Xerri.
If TT's role looks unfavourable again (named in the guts though today) will probably move to either Butters (yes, I started TT instead ) or Heeney, leaning Heeney I think. Thomas will probably score well today regardless of role against Eagles, so could give me false hopes. Just hope Hall gets through unscathed. Next week's trades will be interesting as I don't have N. Martin, Butters and Heeney.

Both hawk mid rookies are absolutely locked in holds

Both will continue to get better

Missed Neale as C and have Stephens wallowing on the bench, so another 100pts going begging.
At least they are in my team, so it helps the $$ generation

Mixed bag to come : Short, Marshal & Steele the premos with JHF, Cogs, Brodie, Gibcus & Hayes for support.

It's interesting with people talking about trading Gawn out , Grundy certainly didn't look real special yesterday.

I guess it is a case of how much you want Heeney and seeing how your players perform today.
I think the appeal with Grundy (over Gawn) is that Grundy has a monopoly over the ruck position.

21/24 centre bounce attendances, 29 hitouts, (Kreuger had 0, Cameron had 1)
compared to Gawn
16/26 centre bounce attendances, 18 hitouts (Jackson had 16, McDonald had 1)

It's going to be tough for Gawn to be a top 3-4 ruck when he's in a ruck share (arguably this was known before the season, but it seems more prevalent than some were hoping)
