Gawn - > English / Xerri (Hayes R2)
Whitfield - > Hewett
McGovern - > Heeney

Seems to be quite popular thought this week. I've got all the key rookies and other midpricers already in.

Unsure who to trade Gawn to tho. Had Xerri in preseason, ruck time today was good, Pruess could come in for Dixon in a couple weeks and give better coverage.

Looks like Xerri is an obvious rookie correction now and Heeney is hard to overlook at this stage so I'm looking at potentially Berry and Gov out for those two next week.

Whitfield is also a serious concern, for all of his talk about being fitter this year he looks like he is well off the pace of the game and is playing as soft as he ever has. Considering a move to Hall or even Bowey there.

Not watching but is Whitfield injured or just not in form (that is prompted him to be traded)?
Watching the game now, just looks a long way off his previous best, can't get himself into the flow of the game for a second week in a row and his only useful possessions in the second half this afternoon have been kick outs.

Are people more inclined to trade Berry or Ward? Leaning towards Ward myself after seeing him play a very good game for only 52

After seeing Flynn go horrible, am going Gawn to Heeney which moves Hayes to R2, and if all goes bad, Preuss should become an option

I think it depends who you're trading them for. Berry is projected to increase more, but one big score for ward could change that. I've got Ward on the bench, at the price I'm happy to leave him for now. I traded Berry out this week as he was on field and doing less than I wanted.

Trading them for Neale. Berry is currently my M5, and Ward is looping with Stephens for M8. Think I'm leaning to keep Berry because his scoring should be more than Ward. That would leave me Berry, JHF, Daicos, and Stephens M6-M9 which I feel is great for looping, have Owens who I think we will never see again...

Yeah, given both are on field I'd trade Ward. His scoring has been woeful for an M8.

He is noticeably bigger, especially across the chest. For now it looks like he’s maybe less fit with a bigger body? Muscle uses more energy than fat, it’s always a trade off between strength and fitness in sport

Cripps or Heeney the better buy? Both at 450k.
Cripps I think

Heeney is flying but has made decent scores through goals, plus others around that price (Butters, Treloar, English, even de Goey) should be able to go with him

For the money Cripps is absolutely beasting, barring some sort of LTI I don't think you can win it without him

I was/am currently leaning to Cripps. Thanks for your time/response.

North Melb.
Preuss might be #1 ruck next week, Flynn has been worked over in every way today by Nank and Soldo and he looks like a very sore boy even though he's battling on in the last quarter here.
Can easily replace Pruess with Ward or Berry… got more than one on the chopping block!
