Hayes is shorter than Cripps , no reason why he can't play as a wingman.

Membrey is only 188 , guess it's how well they can cover the ground athletically
Wow Membrey is actually shorter than I thought, thought he was about 192, but he plays tall in a key forward role if you know what I mean, they target him in the air. If they can play Hayes on the wing that will work, just at first look it would seem as though they have too many marking targets and not enough groundball winners.

Is it worth trying to find a spot for Will Brodie (who is currently on my bench) when this is my current FWD line?

Thought about maybe having Rachele ride the pine pony for a week, but don't want to miss another potential breakout (such is SC life, is it not?), especially with PA coming up.

For those that have Owens & Stephens, swans play early over the next 3 rounds before the saints so Owens is very useful for looping purposes if you have Rachele/Ward/ MacDonald on your mid bench by making Stephens your mid emergency & deciding after his game if his score is worth taking or not ;)

Yes, you play Brodie over Rachele. If you can loop Rachele then do so, but Brodie has the mid role whilst Fyfe and Mundy are out. If Rachele has another monster, you smile and count the cash rise.

Furthermore, over the first 2 rounds (yes, very small sample size but still impressive), Brodie currently ranks at Freo :-

1st for centre clearances
2nd for tackles
2nd for disposals

So I think Longmuir identified a perfect role for him, how to use his strengths despite his limitations in endurance/speed.

Playing as inside bull, he does have very good hands & good vision with his handballs.

Brodie is great until Fyfe is back, slightly weaker this week with Mundy back but he plays so little that there's plenty of space for him right now and Mundy can just slot in around that.

Would 100% be fielding Brodie over Rachele though at least until he confirms if the midfield move was a "we desperately need speed and class in the middle and he's the answer" or "we're getting blown out and may as well experiment for the future" type move, basically does it stick?

Gotta field Brodie vs the Weagles mate.

Freo seems kind of like a dumpster fire at the moment in terms of its organization. Has that always been a thing or is this recent?
Things are changing since Peter Bell became the general manager of footy.
They have improved markedly in their drafting & trading since he took over along with off field issues.
He is an impressive, intelligent guy (qualified lawyer) that makes calculated decisions.
I think Freo are heading in the right direction under him, have some quality youth coming through.
