Strategy 2022: Round 4 Trades

Honestly not quite sure what moves need to be made, with $12,900 remaining salary.

However, thinking about making one of Coniglio/English my captain for next week (and maybe beyond?)



Trade suggestions are more than welcome. I did contain myself and keep Whitfield over Hewett (though Hewett did perform better again...) and am overall happy with almost all of my guns this week.

Wouldn't be touching anyone on field, all look good at the moment. Missing any rookies on the bubble? (Martin probably the most relevant here.)

Dixon to Martin
McGov to Preuss

Prefer to keep depth going and not sure Dixon keeps playing for long. Oscar Allen is likely a game away. Expect he may be 2nd ruck with Bailey on the outer now, not completely unexpected.

or should it be Ward?

Could you just do McGov to Martin? As long as he is playing Dixon will make some money right, even if second ruck/fwd. And Preuss's role (and body) isn't the most reliable, so might be good to see him named for his 3rd game before committing.

The only potential trade might be D Stephens to Preuss if Stephens got dropped (to try capitalise a bit on Preuss’s scoring potential).

I can see Martin being one of the best rookies of the year, scored 71 and looked very involved still getting like 20 touches

No trades hopefully. Think O'Driscoll will be good, started getting CBAs last week when he came on. I've overtraded so can't really afford to turf a rook for him. If he tonnes up then may consider Gibcus to him, but Gib probably has the better JS and still has cash to make.

Have 100k ready for Dixon to Preuss if required when he's on the bubble. Flynn apparently BOG in the VFL, interested to see if they play both.

Main negative pods are Brodie, English or Bowey and not a lot I can do about it, so will just sit on what I have.

NOD had a nothing role with virtually their whole midfield out plus Tucker subbed mid game, don't have any confidence hes in their long term plans right now personally, not one I'm going out of my way to bring in that's for sure.

I've got Xerri, Hayes, Rachele and Durdin, would have to drop 1 of those to get Martin in. Understand from a 3 week gain of $270k that looks very enticing.

I'm definitely moving either Ward or Rachele for Martin, the other probably goes the following week for Preuss in any case.

Hard to do Dixon to Martin with a 60 in his system, unless he gets dropped. Rachele or Stephens for some early cash looks appealing, though might be robbing Peter to pay Paul. Not sure ...

Owens to Martin locked. Preuss could come in this week but it'd need a pretty exceptional set of circumstances (mid rookie dropped AND no Flynn) which just doesn't seem likely. Tempting though because it'd get my worst rookie (M8, so effectively Ward/Stephens) off the field.

I was just tossing up who to trade in for Martin who I feel is a must have! I am thinking Rachele or Stephensas well. Kind of hoping someone gets dropped so makes up my mind.

Why can’t you drop an underwhelming mid rookie to Martin and switch Rachele to the mids though?

Confirmed.

Devils advocate but if his role continued how it was today, he probably gets DPP and is still a very strong chance of being a keeper there so I'd at least be analysing the trade thoroughly.
