Was it all injuries though? I seem to recall some pretty serious js issues along the journey.
In his his time at North there would of been js issues/ early in his career.

I recall multiple shoulder issues at Melbourne along with Gawn being the clear number 1 so hard for team balance for them to play both (unlike with Jackson who is just an exceptional athlete) & when he first joined GWS he had another shoulder issue then tore a pec :-

GREATER Western Sydney ruck recruit Braydon Preuss has suffered another injury blow that could rule him out for the rest of the season.

The luckless ruckman will undergo surgery after tearing his right pectoral muscle while using the bench press in the Giant's gym on Tuesday. He is expected to miss at least three months, and up to five.

Preuss was set to play for the Giants' VFL team for the first time this week after recovering from a left shoulder reconstruction that has sidelined him since the pre-season.

The Giants said that the tear to Preuss's right pectoral muscle is unrelated to the earlier shoulder injury on the other side of his body.

also imo preuss is an amazing r3 and the best way to get him is to trade out Jack Hayes (if everything is right then he may be at a higher price than preuss)...with preuss at r3 we can afford to go someone like witts or luke jackson instead of an uber premo like gawn or darcy. Just my opinion though
If Hayes is dropped, hold for this week and get another look at Preuss. If he is again out in Rd 5 and Preuss does ok, Hayes to Preuss sounds logical. Horrible injury record though, if Hayes plays well this week have to keep him I guess.

do you guys think its worth itto invest into a 102k dpp loophole?
I used a trade boost for that, currently don't have a loophole option and at least I have 1 keeper now...
No, with Covid an ever present threat you need as many guys playing as possible, throwing away potential bench cash generation this early is also something I am not a fan of in the slightest.

I'd actually prefer that one of Nixon and Hayes is dropped so I can take the higher of Preuss' and NMartin's scores.

EDIT - WC game does not work

Actually, English playing at same time as Preuss does not work either, Goddamnit!

I agree it is not ideal. But in the case that Martin must come in, sometimes it is a case of someone has to go out to facilitate it.

In the senario that the rookies abailable for trading are:

Hinge, McCartin, Gibcus, De Konig, JHF, Dacios, Ward, Stephens, Durdin, Hayes, Rachele

Who has to do if not Rachele?
Sometimes there is a need in order to facilitate a bolter rookie such as Martin….
the factors we need to consider would need to be :
a) scoring ceiling b) job security….

I would put Gibcus/ Dekoning/ Durdin on the table prior to Rachele….

Because Cameron has rotated his Rucks consistently for 2 or 3 years, and Flynn was very good in the VFL, think its a near certainty to continue when Preuss is coming off an interrupted pre season and terrible historical durability aswell, common sense to manage his body through a 22 game season.
Something to keep in mind is that not all games were missed in those prior years due to injury….
Pruess was always playing second fiddle to Goldstein and then Gawn…..
only started playing 2 rucks at the demons when Jackson was recruited in 2020….

creates good discussion though….

Already made 4 trades, but toying with the idea of ...

OUT: Caldwell & Rachele

IN: Green & Dixon

Could Green hold down a M8 spot by year's end? If he could average 105-110 from here out then 500k for him surely should be a win. Rachele bombed his scoring potential last week. Dixon was ok and if he plays again will rise nicely in price, plus I can swing him with Hayes at R3. I'm running Preuss at R2 so Dixon may provide some extra cover.

My boy Caldwell doesn't look like clearing many more than 25 touches a match despite scoring well for his possies and price (outperforming Berry), but Green's start is phenomenal; 30 odd touches a match and plenty of CB's is nothing to sneeze at. Caldwell only the 8 CBs last match.

Be interesting to see how many started English or traded him in last round (most likely for Gawn).

Or whether they started English forward ahead of Butters , Dunkley , Heeney , Treloar types and then have gone Gawn down to Witts , Preuss types.
