Stephens to Dow?

Reckon that's the question on everyone's lips right now.

I have Soligo, who's a reasonable loophole option and Stephens. Martin is coming in and I'm tossing up whether to bring in Dow.

Do I bring in Martin for Stephens and release 100k? And/or use most of that cash to bring in Dow as well?

Stephens seems a decent player and should make enough cash when he gets back in. I'm holding, but worried about his coaches record with rookies who aren't his faves.
Being impatient with Higmore last year haunts me still.

Given Preuss is a third of Gawn's price anything over 107 and he's matched Gawn for $ per point haha. Very happy to have Cripps, feel like it'll work out OK.

Why not?

The premium at R2 is replaced with a solo rookie ruck that has a scoring floor of ~80 and a ceiling of ~130. The Stephens/Ward/Rachele scoring 40 on field is replaced with a premium midfielder.

Could easily still come out on top

Owens + Durdin - Dixon + Dow?

Owens not looking likely at all for another game. Get Dixon's price rise then he can be my loophole when he gets dropped in a few weeks time.

Dow definitely has the upside on Durdin who I think would be a really slow burn and probably struggle to go above $260k.

Is it too much of a sideways trade without enough upside?

I'm just struggling to see the Durdin upside. Watching the blues games I think he has a spot, but I can't see him making the $150k. I think he just keeps pumping out 30-70. His potential for really low scores worries me, whereas watching Dow get 29centre bounce attendances last week and looking good round 1 before the injury. I think without the injury he'd be in a very different rookie conversation.

And yes - selected ahead, Williams is emergency this week. But have to wonder how long that lasts?

crazy busy work week for me have barely thought AFL or SC! Came home last night and panic traded 2 minutes before bounce: out Marshall (stK variety) and Berry, in came Petracca and Gollant, English back to rucks.

Then saw stephens and durdin out, probably should have thought that through a bit more. no idea what i was thinking. and no idea what I'm doing this year haha.

But you don't get a free hit at Dows profit. It's Dows profit minus Durdins profit. Not worth a trade.

As a Tiges fan - how do you read it?

Obviously a few injuries, but seems to be the only midfielder scoring points at Tigerland? Would the likes of Prestia, Lambert, Caddy, Vlaustin have any effect on his midfield minutes and CBA attendances? I haven't seen your other games other than last weekend when he looked solid and everyone else looked slow.

how do you see him mate? is he filling a temp spot due to injuries? or will he stay for a few weeks do you reckon?

Like him a lot & would be disappointed to see him dropped based on how poor we've been in mids. Prestia is always battling injury,Lambert plays a different role.
However talk of him making 200k seems premature,still lightly framed & like most of those kids,barely played in last 2 years.
