I watched the Richmond-Bulldogs game without looking at scores and boy was I surprised when I saw them. Quantity does not equal quality, take not CD. Take a good 20% off those top Dogs scores and you'll get a much more accurate reflection of how they played. Macrae possibly the least spectacular 158 I've seen (how many of those disposals to the disadvantage of a teammate were ruled effective?), Smith butchered it as usual and was poor when it mattered, and so was Dale.

Basically I would've scored them all like Dunkley.

Can JL not coach again next week so Brodie can play more mins at the end of the game? 😜

Awesome performance by him, could well be a fwd keeper this year if he maintains this form.

On Whitfield, I was ready to rage about him after that crap 1st half but decided to wait. Better in the 2nd half but he isn’t the same player of a few years ago unfortunately.

1588/15 with Neale Captain…
good recovery tonight led by Macrae and Brodie….erred by accidentally selecting Neale as captain last night, only realised when checking this afternoon…
projected 2272 which might just be shy of PAR…
Cripps, Touk, Ridley, Hewitt, Rowell, Martin and Hinge to come….

Looks like cash generation is going to be good this year. The bigger question is which premium to upgrade to? There are not to many that inspire confidence at the moment and Brodie, Daicos and JHF might end up as keepers?
Daicos averaging 91.8 , Horne-Francis averaging 83.2 after 4 rounds.

Be extremely surprised if they are season long keepers personally.

It would be nice, but I think the best we could hope for, is Daicos gets DPP, and we use him as swing man.

Any chance Hayes is not the sub and we get told before ess ade lockout?
Sandy's VFL game is at 12pm, so if Hayes turns out for that then there's a pretty good chance that he wont be the sub for the AFL game.

Having said that it wouldn't be the first time a player has been pulled from the VFL game at 1/4 or 1/2 time and rushed over to suit up for the AFL game in the same afternoon, so there is that little niggle at the back of our minds still even if he does play in the VFL and that wont go away until 3:20pm tomorrow.

If it's any comfort then it's no better for me either, I have Dixon's 96 and Macrae's VC score now riding on Hayes not being the sub. If he is then I'll have no choice but to shift the C elsewhere and pass on Macrae's VC score to limit the damage, but it will still cost me 100+ points no matter how things pan out which kinda sucks.

Isn't fantasy football just a barrel load of fun!!! Should make for a nice relaxing Sunday arvo for a lot of us... :ROFLMAO:

Giants vs Dockers

General - Another game ruined by really bad umpiring, the umpires should have a spell for this game, worst I've seen in a long time and I watched last night... Dockers were really solid, good pressure, especially their small forwards and great structure. Giants...

Giants - Leon Cameron has to go, his ability to handcuff this list for so long and keep his job is the most amazing thing he's achieved. I honestly think he's the worst coach of the past 15 years and that includes James Hird and his indiscretions, Voss ruining the Lions for close to a decade and many others, he's just that bad, the only way a side can continually play this badly and uninspired style of football is if the coach has drilled it into the players to the point they're afraid of doing anything else. They're just such a mess of a team.

Taranto - Rare positive ratio game for him, really solid game/role again. Looks every bit the premium so far.

Whitfield - He was really bad but credit to him, he kept working to space and got a lot of easier cheap touches to pad his stats, as worthless as his game was it's hard for CD to score it too poorly in a close game where it's a mark on lead and effective disposal. He just looks completely out of sorts though, kicking is worse than ever and just doesn't offer much else if he's not getting 30+. Survived his knee getting caught in a tackle which is a credit to him but his inability to stand up in tackles at all still at this point makes him a constant injury threat.

Cumming - He was brilliant for the Giants, his kicking is on another level. Think he can be a genuine premium this year, he's clearly their best kicker of the ball and it's not really close.

Preuss - Really solid again, also survived an awkward looking knee twist, hopefully pulls up fine next week. Should be on everyone's hitlist that didn't start him. Role is good and he scores in multiple ways and should push a 90+ average, worth fielding.

Perryman - Continues to be a nuisance, not relevant himself but dents Cumming/Whitfield et al by stealing touches

Kelly - Seemed to be forward a lot tonight, again not really being used well, was the guy they sacrificed from the midfield for the half-hearted Brayshaw tag. I'll never understand Cameron's usage of Kelly and I'll keep picking him and making the mistake thinking that Cameron will stop his ****wittery and I'll keep being wrong it would seem. At least I only took him in AFLF and RDT this year :(

Green - I do wonder how long until teams put work into him, playing too well to go the Freo path and nominate him as the guy to leave wide open at F50 stoppages, right? Copped the Leon treatment, kicked a couple of goals from stoppages as a midfielder pushing forward and got trapped forward for large parts of the rest of the game, struggled to score as guys like Ward and O'Halloran hacked it I50 to nothing, well by nothing I mean Dockers defenders...

Ward - One of the worst games of his career, I think he's at that sad part of the career of holding back more talented players to play his role but not really been able to find another role he can contribute in.

Coniglio - Looks like he spent the week learning to kick from Taranto, butchered it all night. genuinely not sure he kicked a drop punt all night. At least he's irrelevant right?

Dockers - Really solid win, took full advantage of terrible umpiring to knock the Giants out when given the chance, want to say their last 5 goals were all umpiring and pretty much all bad to awful decisions, multiple times with 50s thrown in on top but you play to the whistle and when it's going your way you exploit it if you're a good side. Structurally their small forwards were excellent with the pressure and they dominated the air on I50 kicks by the Giants and on the rebound. Giants playing 3 KPF who provide zero pressure made their life easy, bring it to ground, clear easily, repeat ad nauseum.

Brodie - Big game, must be the top PPM guy right now, shame he's not fit or he'd be enormous. Eagerly away the Fyfe return because he's a keeper until then. Hard to believe the Suns paid the Dockers to take him this o***eason but I mean they did cut Lyons and Greenwood so they clearly hate inside midfielders who win the ball repeatedly for their side... Beasting right now.

NOD - Monster game, played wing/HF and was prolific. Looks like someone you strongly consider jumping to next week as the role and ability suggest big cash generation is possible. Was excellent.

Brayshaw - Very well held in the first half then all but released from the tag for the 2nd week in a row and went to work on putting together a good score. Not sure why clubs are releasing the tag, especially when it's one of the few wins Cameron actually had tactically, 3rd quarter they went to a loose stoppage tag and 4th quarter they released entirely, not surprising he had most of his ball in that period. Kept working, kept impacting at the stoppages and showed good fight but I'd be tagging him for 4 quarters if I was facing him as it clearly limits him.

Walters - Surprisingly good game, I guess as a guy who plays for free kicks in a game where the umpires were desperate to pay your side free kicks, he's going to alright  Seriously though, he played much better but would need to see a lot more to consider him.

Chapman - Masterclass across half back. Was just brilliant. Another where you wonder how long until teams put some work into him as he's so damaging with his ball use, one of the few players who doesn't look afraid to take on a corridor kick and open the game up, hopefully he keeps at it. My SC is cooked anyway so will just enjoy the show

Young - Strong score, quality kicks and easy intercept stuff I guess stacks up pretty quick. Such a gun player though, will be a premium sometime soon.

Erasmus - Solid game, great role. Think he's the first one out for Fyfe/Serong though unfortunately so not sure he's worth the premium price, also too early this week really. Could fall into worse rookies though if needing one this week.

Ryan - He was solid but not great tonight, the Giants kicking inside 50 was so bad it actually made his job harder, when they shank it hard in a different direction to where it should go, intercepting it is really hard. Also a lack of kick-in chances. Will be a bargain soon.

Darcy - I mean nothing looked physically wrong with him, he just got out rucked by Preuss and didn't do much right around the ground. One to watch as a potential bargain buy given his enormous upside but really need to see some continuity and some decent scoring soon.

Think about what to do with Butters , Ryan becoming a concern , why oh why didn't I back myself and start D Rioli.

Just need to be patient and wait for my bench rookies to moo (as slow as that might be)

Multiple fallen premiums appearing in the next few rounds , be interesting watching those aggressive coaches if they grab them ASAP.
