Went from being in pole position on Friday evening to needing a Sunday miracle to win my main league matchup.

Opponent having Tom Stewart, Max Gawn as C, Sicily & Steele as uniques will do that to you.

Anyway, 12/1,181 with Captain Macrae to save the day. Perhaps.

12 / 1342 (Oliver VC).
12 / 1223 (Witts, Neale, or Macrae C)

Crisp, Daicos, Witts,
Macrae, Treloar, Bailey Smith, Dunkley, Martin.
Neale, Heeney.

Undecided on taking Clarry's VC score.
Gut says to roll with Witts against the Pies without Grundy, or Macrae going big against my mob could be a safe bet.

I see the appeal of Witts against pies but if you wake up on Monday and see the C on a Witts 80 next to C-less Macrae 140 it could do irreparable damage to your self-esteem.

Round 9 could be interesting

Clark 104
Carroll 95
Rioli 92
Hamilton 68
Callow 25

A few more tomorrow.

Couple of fallen premiums will be ripe to bring in as well.

From last round

Curtis 58 , 58
Dempsey 65 , 12
Hately 32 , 33
McComb 37 , ?
Strnadica 56 , 76
Might be worth picking up Clark next week in order to bring a few others in for round 9…

Hayes playing Friday night is great as can see whether he still looks viable as a R2 , otherwise probably need to plan to get Darcy in ASAP or someone else.

Monitoring BE of 3-4 mid premiums , a few defenders and now all these rookies , just have to sit down and work out the timing on them all.

Plus workout who to trade out.

My current bench is :-

McCartin , SDK
Whitfield (or Daicos) , Stephens , Long 🍩
J Hayes
Xerri , Dixon

J Hayes & Xerri obviously get traded , might mean trading Daicos 😭 - > Clark & Stephens - > Carroll or Hamilton

I won't be able to post any quarterly updates from FanFooty until later this afternoon.

It's such a great Autumn day, that I am deciding on either going sailing on my luxury yacht, or have my chef cook a lunch on my Cabin Cruiser, or ask the chauffeur to drive to a local Winery for lunch, but I don't know which Rolls Royce to take, the silver or the black one, or maybe I drive myself in my yellow Lamborghini, hmmm, so much stress.
Actually, I might just support the local Pub and have a counter lunch with my 'woman who I must obey'.

Such is life hey @Bermi
Enjoy your lunch and the beautiful autumn day.
I'm also out on a family lunch to celebrate my father's 73rd Birthday. Hoping to return to see a worthy VC score from Witts to commence my Sunday charge!:)

Played: J Short, S De Koning (Hewett cover), N O’Driscoll, W Brodie, J Kelly, L Whitfield, S Coniglio, B Preuss, C Oliver (new recruit), Z Butters, S Hayes and P Cripps

Yet to play: T Miller, N Daicos, J Ridley, J Dunkley, N Martin, J Macrae (C), L Neale, J Berry, I Heeney and L Parker

Disappointing to see Hayes record 0 HTA as I was looking forward to fielding he and Preuss at R1 and R2 for the next few rounds and now might need to use my remaining salary of $320,000 to grab Gawn to replace J Hayes rather than T Stewart to replace N O’Driscoll/J Rachele. Fantastic to see J Kelly and J Short deliver 150+ along with De Koning recording his season high as cover for G Hewett.

Not a consistent option to be handing the C to and I feel there is more to lose than gain with the selection. Need I remind you about Macrae’s record in wins at Marvel since his super premium years (120+)? ;)

Brodie and NOD since quarter time🤢

Brodie not a keeper, just doesn’t play enough minutes
Really looked like he'd blown up last night in the final quarter, but he's looked ok as a FWD otherwise. If his floor is going to be somewhere around 75 with an average of 95+ then he'd still be verging on F6 keeper territory imo.

I am around to do them today 🙂
