Keeping trades simple this week with only 20 left. Ilias > Ipap via taafe, Suaalii, aitken.

Leaves about 280k in the bank for an upgrade of LMartin once I find out whether he plays Origin or not.
Pretty happy with my 17 other then that so happy just to save some trades at this point.

Okay. Am using a 2nd trade to get Nat Butcher in after seeing him start at Lock in place of Radley who's out for a while.

Looking at trading out Staggs or > Butcher v Burbo.

Means I'm forced to start Suaalii this week vs Penrith. More about setting up a Burbo and Talakai switch next week via duals.

Please help
(sorry, it's a bit long)

I have no idea whom I am meant to be aiming for in my CTW's, or what moving forward

what's the idea with CTW's?

Garrick, To'o, Johnston?? Aitken maybe?

There doesn't seem to be much consistency

Here's mine + Talakai who gets duals next round

NRLSC RD11 CTWs.png

I'm really tempted to move Staggs along, only because of his potential loss in $$$ and possible Origin call up.
Should I do that now??

Other than To'o, here the top CTW's

NRLSC RD11 CTWs 002.png
NRLSC RD11 CTWs 003.png

They are all very similar

Do I buy for Bye round cover?
Matchups?
Aitken looks the most consistent across 3/5 rd ave.

Here's my team after trades without Staggs
(Randall + Staggs > IPaps + Peoples)

Grant / Cotter
Haas, MKing / JTB, AFifi
IPaps, Talakai, Lolo / Arrow, Tuilagi, Peoples
Hynes / Cleary
Munster / CWalker
May, Tago, Cobbo, Suaalii / Tuipulotu, BSmith, Taas
Turbo / Teddy

I could reverse my trades and aim to sell all of
Turbo, Talakai, Staggs, Arrow, Randall, BSmith, JTB, AFifi
(using 4th boost RD13)
I just bought Turbo in

and aim to bring in all of
Nat Butcher, Aitken, Ola, Garrick, Harris Woolford, Peoples + Ipaps

Therefore planned trades
RD11
Randall + Arrow > IPaps + Peoples

RD12
JTB > Woolford via duals
BSmith > NButcher

RD13
Not sure, as this is where I get lost, as not keen on selling Turbo, Talakai or Staggs

Before RD11 - 2 boosts, 21 trades
8 trades next 3 rounds would mean only 13 left

All thoughts would be appreciated

I think there are a number of good ctw options tbh, I’ll personally be looking to stack them.

May is an easy hold all season, but no other must haves stand out.
I’ll be grabbing Manu for round 13 as I think he’s the best captaincy option.
Garrick is fantastic if turbo is fit and firing which he currently isn’t.
Too will be a good pickup post origin, don’t mind the average so far, tries will come.
Talakai is an easy hold whilst he stays at centre. Some down weeks but the attack will come.
If sharks return closer to their best all of Ronaldo, Ramien, Katoa are options.
Aitken/Fermor are worthy final squad players and 5-6th ctw.
Campbell Graham has a great floor and with his switch to the left his upside is even higher.
Lomax is typically a gun centre and isn’t the worst option, but I wouldn’t be buying until I saw dragons use him better.
Tupou is always there abouts, and Suaalli could end up a keeper too.

Woodford is a low minute hooker and not worthwhile. Good trades this week and then I’d just go one trade of BSmith to Kiraz (if gets the spot as rumoured) otherwise hold. With your amount of trades mid priced players are not options (butcher). Stick to guns and bottom dollar (or close to it, sub 250k) cheapies

Hi everyone,

I'm new to Supercoach, came in late and am quietly addicted already.
My questions:
1) How many trades should I be saving for the end of the season + finals? Roughly planning when to get keepers in or keep trying to make some more cash.
2) How many players in your team are you expecting to be scoring players in rounds 13 and 17? Without knowing the Origin line up, is there a recommended minimum?

Thanks :)

Hello and welcome.

1. Around 1 a round will give you options for injuries or luxury trades. Many won't have this many after building a bench with reserves and nuffies. You really want all your keepers in by round 17.

2. Most will aim for around 13-15 in each round. I've set my team up to have 16-17 in round 13 as I need to make up some ground, and will then trade to get around the same number for round 17. I've still got 23 trades, so I haven't been as agressive as others higher up the rankings.
