First game of wk.02 and we get a perfect example of why many reactions to wk.01 can be premature.
E.G. M Williams
in wk.01 he had only 4 targets for 2 receipts, 10yds and 0 x TDs. RDT score: 4
in wk.02 he has 9 targets for 8 receipts, 113yds and 1 x TD - and that's inside three qtrs. RDT score: 42
E.G. C Edwards-Helaire
in wk.01 he had 7 carries for 42yds; 3 targets, 3 receipts, 32yds and 2 xTDs; RDT score: 41
in wk.02 he has 6 carries 19yds; 3 targets. 3 receipts, 31yds and 0 x TDs - so far. RDT score: 12
The point being: I would expect both to revert to their historical averages.
M Williams was barely involved in wk.01 but as he averaged 8 targets per game last year you'd expect wk.01 to be an outlier
C Edwards-Helaire averaged 11.9 carries and 2.3 targets per game in 2021. More involvement, overall, than in wk.01. The difference was his 2 x TDs. Last year he had 6 x TDs in total: 4 rushing and 2 receiving. He may have had a change of role leading to more red zone work but one week isn't sufficient evidence.
