Think I'm set on playing Stoin, hes due and hoping he's bowling really shouldn't be a reason not to.

Torn between Hardie and Zamps, good to see Hardie bowl last match and that probably swings things for this round as he's looked great with the bat, question is does he get a hit. Original plan was to loop this but rain last night messed it up.

If the pitch is as much a road as it’s looked before, he may well not get a bat. Personally I’d lean towards Zampa knowing he should bowl his 4 and is world class so can still jag a wicket or 2.
But given all the comments about this pitch it wouldn’t surprise me if it’s a minefield and the bowlers tear both teams to shreds!

I really hope it’s as predicted. Faf, Inglis, Stoinis, Webster all in my side. Only Richo and NCN in the bowling department.

Victoria made 244 in 36 Overs in the Marsh in their last game there and WA chased it down, was still wickets to be taken (Tye actually took 3 which is interesting) but quality batsmen score with ease at that ground.

Would anyone play Stoinis or Lyth over Agar, Tye or NCN?

I haven’t done that at this stage but wondering whether I should given all the talk about the short boundaries lol
Nah, play all the bowlers. I need somebody else on 'Team Bowler' for this afternoon's match. Let's pray for plenty of silly shots which has been common place so far this season.

Four bowlers and one batsman for me o_O

Id probably still field all the bowlers over Lyth, until he actually delivers hes just another English dud over here really, would field Stoinis over all of them personally.

In order:

1. NCN (will bowl his allotment and has a great role. If he does bat, you’d be a chance of a quick 10-20)
2. Agar (should peg back the scoring. Might concede a few but will also field in hotspots which is especially important on a ground like todays)
3. Tye (role dictates score, can go for a lot of runs but he should bowl fuller tonight given the ground dimensions, which gives him a better chance of wickets IMO)
4. Stoinis (batting at 4, you still get a decent opportunity, but wouldn’t be fielding him over the top 3 given the uncertainty over his bowling status)
5. I’d field a donut before I field Lyth. At least then you won’t be disappointed.

If Perth bat first, I’d be tempted to go Stoinis over Tye, but I have both in different positions so I don’t have to make that call.

I tend to agree with this @Bomber18 unless you have contrary information on the pitch.

Stoin should benefit from an easy batting pitch (assuming he gets a hit!) and is more likely to be called on for overs if batting conditions are good. Admittedly he and Webster seem to be the combined 5th bowler with the sides they’ve played so far.

Thanks all, very helpful (especially @7/11 that ranking is awesome!!)

I was wondering about Stoinis over NCN but it sounds like it’s potentially Stoinis over Tye which I should consider! Let’s see where I land…..

That’s definitive also on Lyth haha - wasn’t sure whether to take the punt given he does open.

DGR targets in round 4.
Tom Rogers: Ex-Hobart, knows Hobart ground in and out, meaning more wickets and $ will increase further especially after he has hit a ton in round 3 and stealing wickets from richo.

Philipe: hit form and $will increase if we wait for one more round.

Hosein: Already at $146odd, with a ton, should be sitting at $165odd approx, in round 5, must hit $200.

Round 5 targets:
Abbott (High BE, waiting for another round should drop $)
Richo (High BE, waiting for another round should drop $)
Kerr (taking DC’s role)
Booster trade: Vince or Kurtis.

Tye has a particularly good record batting second, so if it’s a close call, you could let the flip of the bat decide!
