Callum Mills seems to be a bit of a forgotten man. Hasn't even been mentioned in this thread for over 4 weeks.

Last year, when he had 26+ touches he averaged 136 (12 games) ... or 128 (11 games) if you discount his 214.

We saw in the QF last year vs Melbourne that he doesn't need to be an inside mid to get the scores, playing a role on the wing and scoring 132 SC. Also loves to tackle which we know translates well to fantasy.

I like that he has the first bye in Rd 12 sharing with only STK, BRIS and FRE so that I can then play him all through the bye rounds and trade in maybe a Neale, Brayshaw or Steele before Rd 13.

5% ownership, could be a nice pod to start the year, capable of some monster scores.
The forgotten part is how much he stunk it up due mainly to the Horse factor when many were expecting him to take the next step.

When you have a coach who swings the magnets around frequently it's hard to start someone who could be playing anywhere from high half forward to half back when we really need someone like Mills to be in at the CBAs racking up clearances and tackles and getting involved in scoring chains to keep pumping his (SC) score up.

IIRC Macrae's poor last quarters were more down to being stuck on the bench for ridiculously long periods because the Doggies couldn't get their rotations going properly later in games, especially in junk time where a player like him who disposes of the ball well and gets in the right spots to link up typically adds another 20 easy points to their tally just from basic uncontested mark-effective kick actions after the pressure has come out of the game.
I can see this happening occasionally but would be surprised if a club kept mistakenly leaving one of their better players on the bench. Must have been a reason. They track players pretty closely.

Fine, De Goey's like a batsman who keeps losing his wicket while in the 50s!
I would argue that if he was like a batsman who kept losing his wicket in the 50's he'd probably be averaging 50 which would mean he'd be a rather successful batsman ;) maybe if he kept losing his wicket in the mid to late 40's he might be considered consistent but also a bit of a failure to go on with it.

De Goey or Mitchell, who does everyone think will score better this year for Collingwood?

I would probably save the 60K and choose De Goey if I was going to pick one of them to be honest (I'm not).

Didn't seem hampered by it against Sydney did he?
He wasn't hampered by it last season either, until he was

Don't think Hewett has the ceiling of Laird/Mills anyway, strong argument that he's overpriced and recent injury history has that element of risk, all of which I guess is reflected by his ownership numbers

This may be part of the explanation, although I noticed that it was only his SC (not his DT) that was down substantially.

He doesn't have the floor of Mills either - are we really comparing him to Laird though  Hewett played pretty much every game to round 18 when his back became problematic. Missed 2 rounds for a corkie IIRC, that's hardy injury prone IMO. He hasn't had a bad run over his career but like I said there's better options for around the same price without that risk and Mills has missed more games due injury I'd imagine over his career than Hewett.
