A lot of mouths to feed in that midfield surely? Just feel he’s a touch overprice and can get him later? Or am I well off the mark?
I'd argue Dunkley won't be any cheaper this season if fit. He's the 2nd most owned player and highest premium owned player in the league, he's a C/VC option, he's in a team that is a real flag contender, he'll be getting season high CBA numbers - I just think there's so many reasons to start him but very few if any to not start him.

If I downgrade Degoey to Setterfield, I can upgrade Cameron to Dunkley. Problem is, I really like both Degoey and Cameron as supercoach selections..
I would ditch De Goey before Cameron, don't really see the appeal of De Goey, he's never averaged over 90 and is is a loose unit who does dumb things off field, not sure if Weddle and Cincotta start? You could choose Hopper over De Goey and he could average more.

G’day fellas. Think I’m going to settle for something like this and appreciate any thoughts or advice. Obviously the glaring omission is Dunkley, but can’t seem to fit him in. Hopper seems to be a popular pick, but can’t stomach the idea of two tigers mids in my side given they’ve never been a particularly supercoach friendly midfield. 46.5k left in the bank. Cheers.
Josh Dunkley should of been your first selection. Will be top 3 in averages for the year and is under priced.

Yes 70% owned, not the player you want as a non selection POD

Agreed falls somewhere between 85-90 avg. A nothing selection. Always misses some games due to soft tissue injury and stupid off field stuff.

Likely more midfield time for De Goey. Has been absolutely flying on the training paddock from all reports. Looked unreal in the practice match against Hawks. Think he can have a huge start to the season and is well underpriced.

How 'must have' is Ginbey?
Have him and McKenna currently and have Petracca, who I like, but Macrae is probably safer.
To go up to Macrae, one way would be to downgrade one of Ginbey / McKenna (Chesser, e g.)
Trying to think if it is worth it or just to go with Petracca (understand he's higher variance, but he is niggle-free and looks to be in great nick, tbf)
Ginbey the boy is a gorilla, will play wing and on ball, and will be selected each week. McKenna comming back from 2 years away from the game looked off the pace in preseason and RD 1 is always faster pace.

Ginbey for Me.

Suggest you look at Degoey past history. No Chance as top 20 in the MID and borderline top 20 as a FWD.

Cameron i can understand but i am expecting Cox to see a bit more RK time this year.

Look at the DDP lining up.

Also prefer a Bruhn or Zieball at F4.

Fyfe is a good chance not to see to much mid time this year during the regular season Freo have Brodie and Jeager for the heavy lifting.

Fyfes last year and he would like to play a finals series.

Fair call. Do you think Setterfield is an appropriate downgrade for de goey for me to upgrade a FWD to dunkley?

What structure is everyone looking at in terms of keepers out of interest? Keepers not to include the likes of Bruhn/Setters/Hopper/Ziebell/Fyfe etc - $450k and up. I'm not seeing much from the defender rookies and can see some pain down back with limited bail out options being available if some are dropped/injured. Might be being a little cautious but what's people gut feel a couple of days out?

I keep flip-flopping between (D/M/R/F)

3/3/2/4 and 2/4/2/4

Although you're not wrong, IMO the upside on the Fyfe gamble that a lot of us are taking is that at his price point I can correct it between round 4-5 by bringing in Bruhn/McLean/Allen/B.King/Pedlar/Menzie/etc

Hopefully by then I'm hoping the likes of Bruhn doesn't spike too high just to miss out.

Point is, FWD line is full of corrections and I'm happy taking the gamble on Fyfe

Nice job mate, very similar to mine hence I was attracted to it straight away :), Sicily or Dawson? Sicily before Dawson for me but obviously you'll want both, depends on how tight your cash is and if you want any spare to start.
Appreciate it Russty, yeah the Dawson/Sicily option is such a tough pick. Both will deliver, it's just who delivers more long term, but at the end of the day either of the two will be among the first premos I target well before the bye rounds

Ok gents, I think I've seen the light, until all the final squads are released, I'm going in with this lineup:

- I 100% agree with wogitalia in the Rucks thread, if Gawn flops, he's an easy bail at that price point.
- I may regret losing out on Ridley, but I've upgraded across the board.

My question to you all is: Dawson vs Sicily?
Like it, only three different players from my own: Gulden, Davey and Sturt for Fyfe, Flanders and Sheezel.
Probably yours is better, but I will wait to see what rookies will be available.
I am also not quite sold on Neale, I might try to squeeze Oliver in.

Love the Danger and JDG picks, feeling a little heavy forward though but with the $ allocation it’s interesting. Drop Cameron.
Thanks mate.

I have reservations on everyone under Gulden's price point tbh. Thought Ziebell as I can switch him back at Rd6 and help provide some extra cover with that weak backline. Don't love Bruhn as a pick, feels like I'm just following the masses there. Unsure on Flanders. Don't mind Long as a pick but pretty risky, I suppose it's easy enough to correct.
Danger and De Goey are good slingshot options for me. I think Danger will start well, hoping to make a quick 100k and then get him to the best of the uber premo's early. De Goey could end up an M8/M9 option or a slingshot as well.

I keep thinking that F5/F6 is going to be huge this year, and I reckon it's a vulnerable point where if he you can get the points on field in those spots, I can get a good start in the rankings over someone fielding Sheezel/Mclean/on field rookie and potential sub risks. In fact, I'm even toying with the idea of dropping Ridley down to say Long who I'm bullish on and then going Gulden at F5/Cunnington F6 maybe. I'm not worried about the DPP stuff, I can always switch one to the mids if I need to get a Gawn/Petracca in, but honestly I'm not as sure on them getting DPP as others. Goes against my usual way of thinking with balance, but I'm potentially going to be all in on the fwd line (Dunks, Cogs, Rozzee, Taranto, , strong ruck line and mids with Ashcroft at D8. If I drop Ridley down then I can strengthen some of the cheaper rookies to the more reliable JS Cole, Jones types
