Epic recovery from Mitchell late, DeGoey degoing on with it from back half of last year it seems but both of them disappeared for 30-40 minutes there across the second and third quarters which was a bit strange.

Don't be so sure, Fly and bolts have clearly gotten in his ear I reckon and we're seeing a different bloke out on the field now.

The simplest and yet one of the most telling indicators of that is for mine is that he exercised enough discipline to go back and kick a drop punt over the mark on all of his set shots tonight, whereas even in the latter half of last year he was still playing on and snapping pretty much everything within cooee of goal.

He's fit, head appears to be on as straight as it's ever been and the bloke has always had the ability to be anything out on the field so this might just be when he starts putting it all together.

Not unhappy with Ratugolea’s 56 on field tonight. Looked ok and should hold his place especially with Stewart out. On field rookie scores will be horrible this year I think with apparent lower quality, lower JS and the sub rule.

Plan for 3 months and then you cop an injury affected score of 20 two games in and need to use a trade. Really ruins your excitement for the year
