Strategy 2023: Round 2 Trades

With a few injuries, I may as well get this process started.

Condolences to Stewart owners & non-Sheezel owners alike, like me.

From the smallest of sample sizes, it looks like I'm missing McKenna, Gulden & Sheezel.

Thinking something like ...

Out: Cunnington, Bruhn
In: Gulden, Sheezel

This frees up cash to have another look at McKenna & possibly turn Cowan into him after next week.

Main issue is Jones - waiting to see official confirmation.

Likely replacing him with Tom Cole who looked solid off half back. Think the ball will be in the WCE backline a lot this year, can see him averaging 70/ make some good cash.

Will give Bruhn another week, Ziebell looked great but interested to see what happens when Hall returns.

Stewart to Daicos and if one of my rookies gets dropped then I’ll bring in Sheezel.

Assuming Jones is out, would like to wait at least a week to look at options (hopefully Cowan can put up a nice score and not get subbed at 3QT this week)

If Cowan scores poorly and I don't want to play Wilmot on the field, options are pretty thin (Cole, Uwland, Bergman, McVee, Stocker)

Don't love Cole (otherwise I would've started him) but would probably be the leading candidate. If I can survive off Cowan for a week, a double trade to get someone like Daicos ( ) would be preferred.

One of Bruhn/Flanders/Hopper to Chandler and depends how aggressive I want to go whether the other will be used for a Ziebell/rookie or a boost for Daicos/Gulden and/or to set up the possibility of trading all three mentioned along with H Clark or rookies, etc for low breakeven rookies missed before RD3. Don’t mind using a boost or two before RD4 but has the potential to turn out like NBA when I burned all the boosts in the early rounds of the season.

Baker and Chesser may lose their spot next week. Think we should keep playing Chesser as a WC fan, but who knows.

Though Chandler played well does he get a gig with Fritsch Salem Hibbert Viney and May all ready ? If Pickett goes Chandler will temporarily keep his place

Waiting on today's games but I'm likely to get in one of JHF or Sheez this week. I already have Chandler, I will definitely be keeping Bruhn.

I have Stocker, Ginbey, McKenna and Constable on field in defense. I'm not sure this combination is a recipe for extended success, so whether I address that sooner or later depends on selection/performance etc, but its very likely I wait for a number of weeks before I do anything about defense.
