Am I crazy for thinking of bringing in Mitch McGovern for Stewart? Talk me off the ledge…
Just think of sliding down a razor using your balls as brakes.......

Nah, seriously, McGovern's durability is the reason why you'd look at starting him, just one trade to flick him out when injured. Bringing him in will cost 2 trades when the inevitable happens and you have to trade him out again. That being said, if you think he can stay on the park long enough to earn some coin then go for it.

I'd be more inclined for a like for like, eg Dawson, Doch, Sic.
Definitely the smart move, but smart moves are boring.. haha I have Doch and Daicos already and I feel with Lewis Young and Weiterings holding down the keys, McGovern can play the interceptor more and they do like to give him the ball to distribute..

With a few injuries, I may as well get this process started.

Condolences to Stewart owners & non-Sheezel owners alike, like me.

From the smallest of sample sizes, it looks like I'm missing McKenna, Gulden & Sheezel.

Thinking something like ...

Out: Cunnington, Bruhn
In: Gulden, Sheezel

This frees up cash to have another look at McKenna & possibly turn Cowan into him after next week.
Yep that’s me. Stewart out, Sheezel in (via some DPP shenanigans).

Question...

There's an update feature... so if I make a trade tonight to get Stewart out, I can edit the trade during the round (for players who aren't locked out)?

Thank you.

Still can't make a call on the following:
Young
Redman
Rioli
Ridley
Daicos

Slightly leaning towards Rioli. Won't get tagged unlike Daicos. Majority of kick ins and finished 2022 in great form that seems to have kept going.

Probably have Daicos next, followed by Young then Ridley and as much as I don't mind the Redman pick I don't like watching him as much as the others.

Any insights at all to help me make a call in the next few minutes? haha

Daicos or Ridley for mine

Ridley has his old role back

Daicos is a freak, no doubt the pies have plans in the place for when the tag comes. He is versatile & I have little doubt they will use guys to help free him up/ block etc.

I believe no once rolling round starts can’t reverse trades after round 1.
edit: yes to update possibly but can’t reverse player back out is my thinking.

No trades this week, probably total carnage next week when I've gotta move on 5 or 6 players with only 3 trades, but we'll see!
Would like Sheezel but happy to wait one more week for him.
Laird, Clark(STK), Hopper, Bruhn, Greene and Flanders all get another week to demand their spot on the team!
It's between Bruhn, Greene and Flanders who will make way for Sheezel next week.
Is round 2 trades open yet? lol

You can update your trade if they haven't played yet and you have the cash.

Eg. I've traded Stewart to Daicos for now, but I could trade Daicos before he plays to any defender that hasn't played and not lose a trade.

Thank you, both, for your replies.

This was my thinking but hadn't used the feature before.

Appreciate it.

Daicos for now, too.

Thanks for the great 20 minutes, Stew.

Need some help.
Stewart - Daicos (basically locked into this or something similar)

Kelly (HOLD)

Do l leave it at that?

Or, with the loss of scoring from Kelly, do I also trade:

Allen - JHF
Jones - Crozier (or Stocker)

In an ideal world I think they should be used to turbo charge upgrading, so to give 15 trades between rd6 and rd10 and allow full premo to be reached before byes.

I don't think it's the end of the world to use one for corrections, but I am certainly trying to avoid it myself.
Think some actually used them aggressively early on to make tweaks to get in the Sicily / Hewett / Brodie types.
Stitch in time saves nine sort of philosophy.
Elephant in the room is you have to nail the swaps off limited information, easier said than done.
