I think Hayden Young is cooked. To get me what I want, I think I have to go Young/Hopper to Dawson/Ryan or Van Rooyen. Feel like I have to hold Doc now and he presents a better long term option than Young.

It's complicated for me. Firstly, I do think it's way too much to be spending over $600k on a defender; Stewart is about $50k cheaper and probably averages within a couple of points of Dawson; but Dawson probably easily clears Stewart on aggregate; but I own Dawson and don't have Stewart because I don't pick anyone who is or will be 30 or above during the H&A season; but Stewart would probably be the first exception to that rule if I were to choose. For me it's really close, but if you didn't like what you saw from Stewart I can understand avoiding him, but he does have massive ceiling potential and that $50k could really come in handy down the line. At the same price, I'd put Dawson ahead but I'm not sure he's worth $50k more.

Probably quite silly, yes. You've already missed the big one v West Coast; Marshall is fine, everyone has him; Grundy will need trading in 3-4 weeks anyway.

Thanks, great analysis. I have rules too and one looks at trajectory. Dawson is on track to improve on last year and I watched him play on the weekend. Some sort of game. But I have a few days to consider. Either replaces Young comfortably, and he fit my rules too! This game……

Thanks, great analysis. I have rules too and one looks at trajectory. Dawson is on track to improve on last year and I watched him play on the weekend. Some sort of game. But I have a few days to consider. Either replaces Young comfortably, and he fit my rules too! This game……

It's just so hard to maintain scoring to maintain price at $600k; really, only the best of the best elite midfielders and rucks manage to do it over the years; AFAIK Dawson did play some midfield but I think he'll still have a mixed role.

Can't say much on Trent Rivers; but I'd say the best thing to do with Liam Jones is keep him as punishment for picking him in the first place.

Could you do something like Worpel/Setterfield to Van Rooyen and Jones up to a premium defender like Stewart?

Can't say much on Trent Rivers; but I'd say the best thing to do with Liam Jones is keep him as punishment for picking him in the first place.

Hahaha 🤣 . Thats a fair call his gotta go i would rather take a 🍩 than look at his name on my team. Rivers is looking sharp of half back. Would love to hear from any Melbourne fans on this one.
