I'd say Snelling most likely, but who knows.

Will use him for captain loophole. Taranto plays after him. If he's the sub, just swap Taranto back onto the field and roll with Daicos C I guess.

And the fact that a lot of the top 1000 teams have 3-4, and in one case - rank #19) - somehow has a full set of boosts, which is mind boggling.

These people almost have nothing to worry about if they utilise they're one to two extra boosts

I think the team ranked #19 should buy a lotto ticket. They've obviously had so much luck with players.

Yep there will always be a combination out there that dodges (almost) everything.

It is largely a game of luck these days!

My first year playing SC was mainly doing DT and forgot about my SC team, didn’t use any trades for the first 5-6 weeks then realised not doing badly and concentrated on SC, came 15th. Luck goes a long way, but some knowledge helps to.

Yeah, I meant more in terms of deciding loops and movements depending on scoring so yeah - trying to think through the scenarios of the round. I'm no good at chess either - or actually I've never learned.

Def Dawson Diacos, Ryan, Ziebell

Mid Oliver Bont Macrae with a slight spec selection like a Serong or Parish

Ruck English Marshall

Fwd Dunks Cog Taranto/Rozee

A team like that has dodged the carnage and scored towards the higher end. But I don't think there are too many left field picks in that team other than the slightly spec Serong Parish types. Maybe Hopper took one of those spots.

Cheaper players like Ashcroft and Sheez were common picks.

Silver lining for all owners, myself included - you can now VC Bont or English into Daicos/Oliver/Laird (maybe) using LDU as a loop.

True, but for me it's reliant on Johnson getting a reasonable score, so a 130 from Bont and a 40 from Johnson puts me in no mans land, given I'd have to bench Dutchy

He's in my public league and copped a few bad ones. He had Day that he traded to Dale for scores of 57 and 64 and had De Goey miss last week. Started with Cameron and moved him to Grundy. He moved Green to Miller last week.

The way you can differentiate yourself is trading in non-popular players and picking the right time to cull you rookies.
Im trading Sheezel this week for example. Is that the right play? Maybe, maybe not. But with such high ownership if I get it right it should move me up on the herd. If I get it wrong, I slide back down .

Like your thinking Sheez, expect we will all follow next week. The year I went well, boosted early and traded rookies 1 week before many.

Your team looks good, gave me close to a 200 point hiding last week in SCS1.
