Have seen some talk about next year's prospects so might as well kick it off nice and early.

Off the top of my head.

D: Laird, Lloyd, Sicily, Witherden/Weitering
M: Titch, Fyfe, Cripps, Dusty, Crouch
R: Gawn, Grundy
F: Walters(?), De Goey, JJK, Billings/Petracca

What type of discount can we expect for Docherty?

Can't think of which players have gone off early injured this year except for Walters and JRoo.

Here goes what my team looks like:

D: Sicily, Docherty, Laird, Lloyd, Crisp, Andrews

M: Titch, Neale, Kelly, Fyfe, M Crouch, Oliver, Treloar, Cripps

R: Gawn, Grundy

F: Curnow, Danger, Heeney, Brown, Daniher, De Goey

Thinking ( more hoping) Danger named mid /fwd after this year spending more time forward. Daniher coming back from injury to be a bolster and Docherty back as a lock although not sure what discount he may get.

Will be interesting to see how these first teams change when next year rolls around.

Love it. Harris Andrews and Charlie Curnow the two that have been on my mind for next year recently.

I imagine the expensive rucks will be one of the big talking points through the o***eason, and the fact it's so hard to back a good season up as a ruck. I'm usually on the side of not paying for them but I imagine next year I will be willing to pay up, unless some good rookies/discounts show up (Sean Darcy?)

Looks like Oliver, Kelly, Cripps and Titch will be staples for a few years to come. Exciting times.

Will Heeney keep forward status? If so, lock him in.

Joe Daniher will be priced at an average of 56.9, may be worth a punt as a 6-7 week Pinch Hitter / Minor Cash Cow if he is flying during the pre season.

Early finishes to 2 seasons in a row, due to knee problems.
I would only consider him for a Stepping Stone, IF his team had a good Draw!
Yeah for sure. I tried the move this year and it looked like it might work but then didn't. I might try again if he was on the end of a midfield that could move the ball in his direction a bit more efficiently. What's the definition of insanity again?

Super early?
Hahahahahahahaha.
I started after rnd 4.

I agree with Stephen, the rucks will have the most preseason posts. Has the no 3rd man up rule helped the durability of ruckman and ended the curse? They have entered the perma captain discussion.

Titch and Jelly are the new Swan and Pendles.

Def: Docherty, Hurley, Hibberd, H-Andrews, Webster

Mid: M Crouch, Sloane, Danger, Dusty, Pendles

If Fwd: Billings, Walters, Heeney, Kennedy, de Goey

Ruck- Kreuzer, Jacobs

i.e. if you haven't spent a fair bit of time getting patched up or similar this year you are going to find it hard to get in. Hibberd and Billings couldn't play worse... Could they?

I actually hope they make some rule changes to freshen it up a bit for next year. It feels like pretty much everybody that is serious is following the same formula so it is largely coming down to luck with injuries and breakouts.

Good call. It feels like there hasn't really been a change for a while. I've renamed the thread to include game change suggestions. I have it on good authority that the powers that be read this forum religiously (not really :p) but Jay has a relationship with a few of the heavy hitters there so may be they'll take notice!

There was a bit of Best 15 talk these recent MBR's because of all the carnage. Gosh i hope they don't do that, that would make it too easy.

I've always been a fan of vice skippers getting 1.5x pts which would bring back some of the skill of picking skippers and removing loopholes as well.
