Great work SCS Utopia staying clear out front for another round. We have five in the top 100, 14 in the top 1000 and none outside top 1500. Obviously early days but a promising start.

Who's trading Gaff? Him to Titch seems a pretty obvious one in this format.
Yeah I'm doing that as well, have a spare trade to use and reading about Gaff complaining about the style of game not suiting him, even thou plenty of other wingers are still scoring well doesn't fill me with confidence.

Bit of a poor week from me but thankfully it doesn't hurt the league too much as I'm also in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th ranked leagues as well.

Gee, the rookies are going alright in this format. If all of them hit their projections (I know some will be unrealistic) my non-keepers would make over $1.1m in cash this round alone!

Score: 2097
Rd Rank: 23
Overall Rank: 32 (from 312)

Trades involved Dangerfield and Dow departing with D Martin and J Jordon as the replacements. The late withdrawal of Heppell allowed for a splendid debut from Jordon showcasing how all debutants should perform.

Current trades for RD3 are:
Out: J Clark and H Jones
In: J Ridley and S Berry

Scratch that!

Out: P Cripps and H Jones
In: A Brayshaw and T Walker

I actually made that exact move last week, as I saw the writing on the wall, even if it was just off the back of one game. So thankfully I don't have that particular headache to deal with this week.

But I have another dilemma in its place not owning Jordon, Highmore, Berry or Warner and only two trades available obviously. Jordon appears the the No 1. priority and perhaps Highmore after that, especially now that Sharp has been dropped. So I will miss out on both Berry and Warner which is unfortunate as they both have great roles and fairly good JS.

I do have some decent midpricers in their place such as Hep-D (who hopefully plays?), Impey and Fantasia along with other popular ones like JZ, Clark and Young plus Fleek at R2/3.

So I guess you can't have everything in this game and just have to be content enough to miss out somewhere. After all I'm off to a solid start ranked 88th. But in hindsight I probably should've structured my side around fielding one more rookie in the mids and one more premo, probably in defence in place of Clark or Young.

Gaff is defintely gone for me as well, just a matter of who for.

Considering Mitchell even if he will have a poor score this week getting tagged by O'Connor, or might pick up a FWD or DEF i missed used DPP.

Could not have asked for a better start with everyone scoring a ton. Magnificent debut by Tex who replaced Jones and meant I did not have to field a Powell/Rowe type. Top 10 here I come!

Played: B Grundy (C), J Macrae, J Dunkley, J Ziebell, R Sloane, R Laird and T Walker.
Yet to play: J Short, D Martin, E Gulden, B Campbell, C Warner, O Fantasia, A Brayshaw (Freo), S Docherty, J Kelly, T Taranto, M Flynn, J Jordon, T Stewart, T Phillips and J Clark.

I also took a punt on Tex for the cash generation.... The points and watching the Big Fella smash it where a complete bonus.

Getting absolute bailed out here by Gaff.

I had every intention of trading him to Oliver with my second trade ... BE of 210, having scored 70 and then 60. Press reports suggesting he just couldn’t get into the game due to the rule changes.

Life gets in the way, I misread the schedule and think I have until tomorrow to do the trade ... then I realize Gaff has locked out. Huge price drop locked in, and I can barely even find a passable use for my second trade.

Then Gaff goes and racks up 36+ touches and 154+ DT!

Sometimes it’s much better to be lucky than smart.
