Pretty typical structure for my first draft. Cheap at DST and Kicker to allow the load up elsewhere.

Double rookie QB setup.

Ideally can cash out a bench RB for Brooks on the bubble around RD5-RD6. G Wilson/C Godwin vying for that WR5 spot. Kupp also an option if a cheaper option presents than a bench of White and Brown at RB.

Worth selecting just for the name alone.

It's only my 3rd year in NFL... but from what I have learned is that TE isn't a position of high value in regards of points... anything between 10 and 25 is good... yes some guys gone big in one off's but alone looking at Aces like Kelce Hoskinson and so on... they are valued at 12m for a reason or am I missing something:unsure: unless you mean to go cheaper and beef up in other areas

A few changes. Very happy to go in with this. Kickers will change based on who the best loophole is. Otherwise, i think im pretty happy.

Cowboys are an interesting starting selection at DST. Usually I try and avoid spending up at the DST position for the same reason as kickers given the likelihood that a poor return on investment is received relative to other positions along with not possessing a large enough ceiling or a gap between others to make the outlay worthwhile. There also seems to be large variation whether that be injuries to key players, new personnel, new coaches/coordinators, unsustainable defence stats, etc.

Is their opening run of matches very appealing compared to most other defence and special teams or have they largely been selected due to starting price and prior season average?

After a quick browse, the Philadelphia Eagles/Detroit Lions is about as expensive as I would like to go. Following Vic Fangjo to the Dolphins seemed to work very well for us last season, so we may do the same this season with Fangio moving to the Eagles.

I usually like to go with the best TEs on-field because they have been by far and away the best scorers.
2022: Kelce was 8ppg better than Kittle who was 2ppg better than Andrews
2021: Andrews and Kelce were 4 and 6 ppg better than Kittle who was 2ppg better than Hockenson
2020: Kelce was 10ppg better than Kittle who was almost 3ppg better than Andrews.
2023 was different: only 3ppg separated the top 7: LaPorte 22.6 -> Njoku 19.6.
The questjon is: was last year an outlier?
I tend to think not. So I'm looking for value this year:
McBride: started last year behind Ertz but when he took over in wk.10, and after Mrray returned, he was quite good: most of his points came in the next 8 games. He has some competition in draftee Harrison but he's likely only behind Harrison as a preferred target
Ferguson: last year was his first as the Dallas TE1 and he took some time to settle in to the role but from wk.13 on he was good; more importantly, in the Wild Card game against Green Bay: 12 targets - 10 catches - 98 yds - 3 TDs. As with McBride he's likely behind only Lamb as a preferred target.
This two are comparatively cheap and a good chance of finishing within 3-5 ppg of the best TE,

Interesting article on ESPN on how the Steelers' coaches are looking to improve Fields' accuracy.
In his last year in college he had an impressive stat, line: 225 passes - 158 completions (70.2%) - 22 TDs - 6 Ints.; 81 carries - 383 yds (4.7 av.) - 5 TDs
Yet his accuracy in the NFL has never been the same: 58.9%, 60.4% and 61.4%.
That could be attribued to a number of factors : the higher standard of defence in the NFL and a poor O-line the most likely.
The ESPN article talks about the fact that Fields' natural throwing style was not in accord with an "ideal" throwig style; about how after one year on Chicago the coaches tried to get Fields to alter his throwing style to the "ideal" one; how the Steelers' coaches are encouraging him to revert to his natural style with the aim of improving it.
It reminds me of a time, not that long ago, when cricket pundits were all for coaching kids into an "ideal" style of batting or bowling.
They'd take a kid who had had some success with their natural style and try to mold them into a "better" cricketer.
At times, in the process, they'd ruin the kid: he couldn't adjust but also couldn't go back to what had worked for him before the coaches got their hands on him.
Thankfully, they dont do that so much any more.
Think of how Steve Smith might have gone if he had been coached out of his own rather idiosyncratic style?

If you want to use a non-playing kicker may I suggest you bring in Tanner Brown asap.
RDT has him listed as a LA Rams kicker but he's no longer on the Rams depth chart.
There is always the chance RDT may remove him,

The LA Rams are the only West Coast team, which have the most late games, to have more than one kicker listed on their roster on RDT - both at $3.3M kickers. They have 11 late games.
The other WC teams, just in case any add a kicker:
12 late games: 49ers
11 games: Seattle, LA Chargers
10 games: Denver. Arizona, LV
9 games: KC

As for the teams with 2 or more kickers listed on RDT
8 games: Detroit - with 3/4 pre-bye when they are mosr useful
5 games: Carolina (3), Green Bay;
4 games: NO, Cleveland (3)
2 late games: Tennessee
Ignore any East Coast team - they never have many late games.
