As we get closer and closer to the start of the season we face a number of strategy questions. This year one main question that is more relevant I think (with an abundance of mid pricers that are available and the decline in available starting rookies.) is do we start with a mid price strategy or Guns & Rookies?
Personally I'm starting with at least 1 Mid Pricer in each line & 5 starting Rookies.
I'm also going with a mid priced Backline strategy this year with few available starting rookies & also I'm sticking with my Backline rule, no player over 500k.
So that's a 13/7/10 strategy at the moment.;)
What will you be going with this year??

Very much taking a few mid price risks in the backline this year.

Mad if you don't.

My biggest challenge will be finding 5 starting rookie mids Round 1.

G and R in the mid and fwd for sure and in the ruck too unless TBC is a.) playing and b.) a sole ruck. I may be stupid enough to consider Kreuzer too if by some miracle he stepped up for round 1.

If at all possible I would still like to go in with a def line of 3 premiums, Newnes and 4 rookies (under 200k). If 4 of Saad, Hamling, Goddard, Edwards, N Brown, Z Jones, Whitecross were named then this will be my structure. if this changes then I have done my midpricer research on the def line and will take some calculated gambles.

At this stage for me my structure is 13 - Newnes - 16 but it is reliant on 4 def rookies as stated above. In my premiums I have picked those I think are a big show to be in the top of their position, with high ceilings and most importantly..exciting to watch and cheer on each week!

I have toyed a lot with mid pricers over the months but none are really standing out for me in defence with any confidence. I will pick them only if I have to (which I probably will!)
