Rowscus talks about Booms and busts in his in his "Share trading as applied in supercoach articles".
http://www.supercoachscores.com/thr...plied-To-SuperCoach-(part-V-of-V-Midfielders)
In this he talks about Poseidon which "was the original, and biggest, bubble and bust share in Australian Stock Market history. A Western Australian mining company, Poseidon shares were selling for as little as $0.20 in early 1969, and $0.80 in early September 1969."
He talks about asking the right questions. Even though some players may have a new coach. at a new club. playing a new role in. and aged in the 20-21 zone after showing natural progression doesn't mean they are going to breakout. Even after 2 good scores smaller details such as injuries and suspensions that leave voids, opposition strength and unsustainable game style may be overlook when a person is shown his latest prices ad scores.
Now not every Person can keep a close eye on every player in every game so i thought maybe I could create this thread where each person can add their opinion on relevant players that are under or overachieving. This will hopefully help every keep tab's on breakout candidates and more importantly fallen premiums and rookies. The game is all about opinions; the more of them the better. All relevant comments on any players will be placed up next to the players name so it would be great for everyone to put in a bit so the community can get out a lot.
Busts
Libba $576k, scored 79; Tagged by Scott Selwood but still accumulated 27 disposals at a disappointing disposal efficiency (53%). Was slightly down on clearences (8.4 2013 ave, 6 last night), but remained similar for contested possesion (14 2013 ave,13 last night). Should be less of a tagging target with Griffen back.
Dixon: Sub affected. Solid downgrade target due to RUCK/FWD swing ability.
Kreuzer: $527K, scored 69; Impacted by Warnock as he did last year. Expect more of this with Warnock in the team but should represent value if Warnock is injured.
Mitchell: $562k, scored 82; Suffered under attention from Rockcliff, and was sacrifice in defence to limit Rockcli*** output. Don't sweat on it.
Rockcliff $591k, scored 95; Scored a whopping 48 sc points from 12 disposals and a goal in the first quarter despite playing on Mitchell. Clarkson moved Mitchell into defence so he could avoid that attention but Rockcliff followed and struggled as a forward scoring only 2 points in the second quarter. Don't think this will occur again because not many mids can go back and hopefully Leppitsch has learnt his lesson.
Franklin; $487k, scored 54; We all know buddy is inconsistent but I don't think anyone expected a 54 first up against GWS. But then again Buddy did score 4 scores under 60 last year. Struggled in the wet conditions and should improve as he get used to the team around him and hopefully get freed up the ground when Tippet returns.
Thomas; $341k, scored 62. With most coaches looking for 90+ ave from Thomas to the byes, he may be a slow burner and may not reach those high scores we know he is capable of until after the byes when most would have moved him on. Looked unfit (only scored 19 after half time), could've scored higher if he kicked straight.
Booms
Swallow $429k, scored 135 Played defence, forward and mid. Could have score higher with 4 behinds. Only attended 4 centre bounces but was definitely rotated a fair amount through the mids (no Bennel). No obvious flaws, looks the goods.
Zorko $447K, scored 121; I personally didn't watch the match but by the sounds he Played unaccountable game through the mids. Scored 81% of his score in the last 3 quarters when Rockcliff was shifted out. Great if you picked him, but I personally would jump on him but still think he will ave 95 from now on.
LeCras- $451k, scored 144;Dominated against a weak team?
Treloar- $469k, scored 154; One GWS mid has to breakout, it could be him?
Prestia - $525k, scored 144; Showed natural progression last year, in a underrated season. Think he'll have a good year, but certainly not worth burning a trade for.
Shane Mumford- $496K, scored 132; Dominated Pyke as the clear number one ruck. Has mixed ruck draw coming up; Hickey, Spencer, Lobbe, Nicholls, but also Minson, Nic Nat/Cox, Jacobs.
Jacobs - $460k, scored 113; Slimmed down over the preseason for extra endurance and looked pretty good as their number 1 ruck. Scored 72 by half time. Heard somewhere the Geelong ruckman drew him away from the contests which impacted his scores in the second half.
Rookies
Dunstan: $132K, 100; With young gun Stevens out for an extended stretch and a plethora of other injuries, Dunstans job security is 99.99%. With a footy ready body he is a clearance machine, getting 5 on the weekend against admittedly weak opposition.
Langford: $123.9K, scored 77; Looks to be relieving Sheils of that tagging duty and should score a reasonable amount of SC points in that defensive midfield role.

Langdon $117, 300 def., scored 111; is the other rookie who surprised in Round 1. Will be interesting to see if he can keep it up. Don't expect those sort of scores every week, but reckon he can average round 70 or so for a while. The pies have a number of defenders to come back over the first half of the year, but I reckon Langdon can keep his spot for a while.
Pies fans can probably throw a bit more light on that.
