Round 14 Score: 2,092
Ranking: 632 (from 629)
Heroes: Pendles, Goldy, JPK, Gray, Hodge, Beams, Dusty, Shaw, Tmitch & Ward.
Villains: Yeo, McDonald, Gawn, Swan, Bont, Fyfe & Maric.
Trades Done: NONE.
Trades Planned: Due to Maric's stupidty, I have ruck cover with Gawn but will be forced to trade out one of Hamling/Pearce/Dale early to avoid a donut in my fwd line.
Comments: #RIPPhilWalsh

A bit disappointed about dropping 3 spots, really thought my team as a whole did well better. Wasn't a big fan of the top 18 thing but it had to be done.

DEF: Shaw as brilliant as always. Hodge finally delivered the goods. Simpson okish but needs to get better. Yeo & McDonald absolutely pathetic and better pick up next week. Hamling serviceable. Pearce is absolutely horrible but will be a slow burner. (Rating 6/10)

MID: Pendles absolute superstar, always vc/c pendles/fyfe and still never listen to myself. I really need to bring back the VC on him. JPK on a hot streak. Beams brilliant as usual, his 9th ton. Ward a bit disappointing, he seems to drift off towards the end of games. Wines disappointing too. Fyfe's worst game of the year but am not worried. Saad and steele providing great back-up for Danger and Motlop. (Rating 7/10)

RUC: Goldy VC brilliant to get close to Pendles. Maric spudding it and earning himself a holiday... not happy at all. (Rating 8/10)

FWD: Gray and Dusty back in form. Tmitch avoiding the sub vest phew. Bont is becoming a worry, has not tonned up since round 6! Swan another quiet one but not too worried. Gawn was up against nicnat so can be forgiven but only one week. (Rating 6/10)

To the week ahead... definitely need to make one trade and need to ditch one of Hamling/Pearce/Dale to Maynard a week early.

Planning to go all out even though just 6 trades left, going to put ablett and sidebottom in this week it looks like.

Named Hooker a hero, because although James Hird was stupid enough to play him out of his best position he still managed to kick 3 goals and score 80 points. Always seems to happen now with Essendon we find a great key defender (carlisle, Hooker) then put them up forward for no reason, just a shame.

Comments: #RIPPhilWalsh (A very sad and emotional week for the footy community but my heart was touched seeing the unity of everyone that mourned for Walshy)

DEF (9/10)
Very happy with my backline this week with 4 tons and Saad's 86 being the lowest score. I'm pretty much settled with my backline for the moment and will comfortably use Saad as my D6 until I have an opportunity to bring in Hodge.

MID (8/10)
Pretty satisfied that my so called premiums have started to show me why I brought them in the first place with Pendles, JPK and new recruit Hanners the stand-outs! Will be getting Selwood back this week and I hope the 2 week break and inclusion of Bartel will somehow propel his scores back to premium ones.

RUC (9/10)
What can I say? Having the No.1 ruck in Goldy is GOLD! So glad I started the season with him and he's even given me 2 superb captain scores now (148 & 150). Nic Nat was a small concern against Melbourne but still managed to crack the ton.

FWD (5/10)
The only line that let me down this week with only Gray and Dusty posting good scores. Not too worried about Swan but getting a bit worried with the Bont who hasn't posted a good score since round 6 (and this is supposed to be the easy run for the Doggies)! Harvey continues to be a see-saw and Goddard..... really don't want to mention his name..... 30 against the Saints is just.....

Comments: #RIPPhilWalsh - very sad weekend of football, struggled everytime I saw his face and when the players bonded post-game!

Battled for wins in SCS02 and $50 cash league. Really need my supposed premos to start firing. Got some trade dilemma's this week with Ox and Cripps on the chopping block and really want Steele as my last rookie, but only 6 trades to play with!

Real life-related comments: Obviously a terribly tragic week that puts everything into perspective - my heart really does go out to the entire Walsh family.
SuperCoach-related comments:
i) Happy enough with the week, but feel that it was a case of 'what could have been' had it been a normal 22 per side week.
ii) Cripps is unlucky to make my 'villians', but those the breaks when you get injured, and can't play a full-game.
iii) Tempted to bring in the great man, Gablett (for Cripps), but will hold-fire for at least another week.
iv) Very concerned about The Bont, and have had to shift him to M9-F7. Might look to off-load him to Bartel in a couple of weeks' time.
