Well, with the dumpster fire of 2020 behind us and a tasty looking AFL season ahead, we are all busily getting busy with our Supercoach teams.

Hopefully I can help.

Come here every weekend if you want to see what everyone else is doing with their teams. The popular players, the must haves, the run with the crowds.

Award Rules -
  • Top 10 most picked players according to SC Gold
  • Broken into Def, Mid, Rucks and Fwds
  • Mids are pure mid only, all others include DPP
  • % are rounded up or down depending if they are at 0.5 (up) or less (down)
  • I don't apologise for nicknames, they are a source of amusement.
All the best!

Running with this theme a little further - a team based on current popularity.

Obviously, there might be a bit of autofill impact but at this stage of the pre-season it's not a bad way of capturing the combined thinking of the more dedicated SC players.

The below is not an entirely "true" popularity team as Whitfield (29%) and Dunkley (28%) miss out. However, it's the best fit under the salary cap and gives priority to players with higher percentage overall (which is why Grundy / Gawn make the cut). I've also tried to keep players in their "natural" position (ie a M/F will be picked as a forward) but a lot of the most popular rookies are M/F so they've filled up spots on both lines.

Not a bad team.

You could do a lot worse!

Good work, whats the projected score on this team like. Expect that spare cash could be used on adding Impey or another $200k player.

The 12 vs 13 premium looks to be the main structural difference, which varies more I guess if you skips Grundy for Preuss.

My 13 team has Gaff Duggan + Walsh vs Lloyd Danger Daniher..........

My13 team projection looks to be about 60-70 points ahead, however, a Daniher proper score would close this by 30pts.

I decided to look at this from a different angle and put together a team of the LEAST popular players at this stage. I couldn't get the absolute least popular team to fit under budget and had to make 3 substitutions - each change has the same ownership anyway (all defenders, mids and rucks included are 0.1% ownership, the forwards are all 0.0% ownership).

Caleb Graham, Jack Madgen, Josh Rotham, Jarrod Lienert, (Zaine Cordy), Lewis Melican, Riley Bonner, Sam J. Reid

David Mundy, (Ryan Clarke), Jack Sinclair, Jared Polec, Tom Cutler, David Swallow, Paul Seedsman, Willem Drew, Dylan Clarke, Adam Kennedy, (Tom Sparrow)

Darcy Fort, Sam Alabakis, Callum Jamieson

Travis Colyer, Nick Holman, Dean Kent, Hayden McLean, Sam Wicks, Sam Switkowski, Daniel Lloyd, Taylor Garner

Changes made from the absolute lowest possible popularity team to get it under budget were Zaine Cordy instead of Jackson Nelson, Ryan Clarke instead of Trent Dumont and Tom Sparrow instead of Brandon Ellis.

Love your work but technically it should be Mr4FullGames or Mr5Games
I stand by the fact he has played 4 games. Everyone discounts the injury affected scores don't ya know ;):sneaky:
How the hell does Rowell have 54% ownership...????
Why you all so bearish, should be MrThreeGames. Played 3 games in the centre and average +140POINTS.

Sure it was like Jack Martin and he wasn't ready for it, I choose option 3.

1) Glass half empty
2) Glass half full
3) The glass is a metaphor and there is water everywhere
