Don't see who else goes out when Rich comes back personally. Maybe Wilmot, but that feels hard done by since he's been empirically better than Sharp as well as preferred all year.
Currently thinking:
McKenna>Humphrey/Berry
Callaghan>Merrett
Not interested in Sharp, a bit more interested in Drury but unlikely to go down that path. Berry is first preference but I’ll only get him if he keeps his spot with BOTH Holman and Ainsworth in the team. Don’t want another Sturt. Humphrey’s spot in the team should be pretty safe you would think. Main reason I have Berry ahead of Humphrey is price (90k cheaper). Berry in gives me 156.6k, Humphrey in gives me 67.1k. Berry allows me next week to go Ashcroft up to a premo in one trade and if Fleeton looks good, he’ll come in for Roberts. A bit scared off by Humphrey’s -3 earlier in the season, although he would’ve had a big confidence boost after last week and should go 70ish IMO.
Probably should take this opportunity to grab Oliver or Stewart?
Hopper and Chandler to Oliver and rookie below $157,700
OR
Hopper and Chandler to Stewart and Humphrey
Is anyone else in a similar situation?
Stewart and Humphrey with the R13 bye.
Only one boost left and will have Ashcroft at M8, Buckley at D6 (probably lose cash) and Ryan at F6.
Think I'm just going to stick to my original plan and get Walsh for Wilmot and Hopper.
Means keeping Davey and losing Wilmot who still probably has another $15k-$20k to make, but oh well. If Walsh gets DPP (which looks almost certain) then he's going to be a must-have anyway, so may as well get him in now while I have the oppurtunity.
Merrett on the radar for next week. Will see how he goes without Parish and Setterfield in the team.
I think he's okay...will be thereabouts for top 8, but you do need to take the often mediocre scores with the premium ones. His variance is high. Which is fine for overall but not great for leagues, you smash one game and lose the next two.
I started him. I feel exactly the same way. Just unfortunate he feels handcuffed with Neale who likes to alternate his bad weeks with Jelly. If they both fire (thinking 130+ scores each) I’m in for a 2500+ week for sure.
Reckon I need to shore up my defence, what’s the current thinking on Sicily? Ideally I wait another week and see how he goes against West Coast with the ball probably not down his end as much, but I don’t trust many of the other options to outperform him over the season

Don’t think of it in terms of ball not getting down to Sicily versing a poor team
Quite often when that poor team is exiting their D50 the disposal is not great resulting in an intercept mark
Plus the hawks aren’t that great either

Ainsworth “to return”
Holman “will be assessed at training on Wednesday night”

Hopefully find out about Holman soon. Personally I think Oea will go for Ainsworth and Berry will go for Holman, maybe Rosas goes instead. Hope I’m wrong.
Is Walsh going to see the season out? I thought he had a pretty significant injury, I know he's scoring well even playing more forward minutes but I can't afford guys who may not see the season out.
Likely to double downgrade now with the possible players to receive dual position status in the coming rounds in the hopes of completing the forward line with two of Walsh and Gawn, etc.
Defence should now be complete with Ziebell or Sheezel to occupy the D6 spot. Merrett, Neale and Mills the targets for the final three mid spots but trades and cash gen situation will likely warrant a readjustment.

Will be between Walsh and Zerrett for me. Zerrett has a juicy draw and can go on a run of scores which IMO isn't far away. Walsh is just Walsh and I like the idea that he may have Forward status which would already give me Gawn and Walsh - a headache to not worry about later.

I’m still going Walsh this week, ultimate professional who was apparently pushing to play earlier in the season (Rounds 2-3 etc) but they really held him back. Hopefully means can play out the year. The fact he will almost certainly get FWD status seals the deal for me, otherwise it would be a tougher decision.
Merrett was someone I was keen on before last weekend’s game. Role wasn’t perfect but the Setterfield news changes things again. I think his BE means I can wait a week and re-assess next round, although I probably won’t have the funds if he does look good.
Wouldn’t surprise me if Hobbs just replaces Setterfield’s CBA’s, but they really should be giving Merrett CBA’s every minute he is on the field. Similar to Saints, my concern going into the year and currently is that it’s a new coach / game style and previous year’s scoring may not be as prevalent.

I've actually managed to grab both of these guys this week.
Basically similar thought process. Even without FWD status I'm happy to have walsh in my team. Essendon's draw and Merrett's 2nd half to the season last year make me think he's a great option for the run home.
Will look at a singe or double down next week and wait on the likes of petracca/gawn/cameron to see if any get the DPP status or make me think they are necessary.
