I ended up grabbing McKenna as a free agent, just don't trust the role for Rampe at his age.

Also used my 2nd priority to get Setterfield. Hard to ignore those CBA numbers. Newcombe was also dropped this morning which was very surprising.

Sounds like your draft league is a lot shallower than mine.
We have 12 teams x 22 players each (18 field, 4 bench) so we have to run VERY deep to find decent scores.
Picking a Rampe who feasibly could avg 85+ is gold for us.

We're 14 teams x 17 players (13 field, 4 bench). My main sketchy spots are last on-field spots D4, M4, F4. Same with everyone playing draft I guess.

Newcombe, Ashcroft and Aaron Hall were dropped. Def having a nibble at Newcombe and interested in Ashcroft who could end up a serviceable F4 with a little help from the DPP gods.

My forwards are a mess too. Three on field scores below 50 for the round. Need Pickett back asap.

Somehow Owens was available as a free agent today. He was the only player there so I snapped him up.

Nice. He must have been dropped just before his game on the weekend, I can see that Ash and Fyfe are available for me right now.

Ash is tempting given he'll make a great D4 after round 6, but I'm hesitant to drop my worst mid (Sam Berry) for him.

Poll... would you field Grundy or Nankervis?



Grundy #1 ruck but was underwhelming last week. Rocking to the superstar Melbourne mids should help



Nankervis 110+ average, and rucking against the pies with no Mason Cox to tag team with Darcy Cameron... but... the tiges are missing Hopper and Dusty.. so HTA who knows.

Trac > Jelly
Dale > Dangerfield

The rationale: I just swindled Macrae in the hopes he gets forward DPP (35% after round 9). If Macrae goes forward, I will need a good mid to replace him. Dale is on my bench as my 5th defender, so I don't care about him at all.

On face value, Trac is better than Jelly and is on a hot streak, but I feel over the course of the season they could average similar. I want to sell high, as Trac's avg is definitely inflated by a couple of monsters vs teams like Hawthorn, North and Gold Coast.

I LOVE Jelly so my decisions are heavily clouded!!!

I wouldn't give up Trac and probably wouldn't want Danger either, he's old and gets injured, you do need to get Rankine off field though, why do you have 2 rucks on the bench?

Rat came in last week purely as a Friday night Emergency dice roll up forward. Meek comes in the same this week as a FWD option vs a ruckless WC.

Oh yeah ok, the draft league I'm in has more players on field so probably less options each week. I've been hit with injury after injury in mine and am finding it hard to replace guys with any decent players left.

I don't mind Trac to Jelly if you get a little something in return.
Dale to Danger doesn't do it for me though.

You could also look an an upgrade on Whitfield in defense, or use Whitfield to grab a good forward by swinging Hall back.
This year the amount of 110+ pure mids is really slim, whereas some forwards and defenders are pushing towards it.

What are people's thoughts on Dylan Shiel with no Setterfield and Parish, and with a soft run coming up? I imagine he'll be on the FA lists for plenty of leagues, worth picking up as a mid option for the next month or so?
