Strategy 2023: Round 11 Trades

Sheezel and Ashcroft were both great again, so think I'm hoping to finally have a week without trading. Kind of wish I didn't change my mind on getting Neale/Merrett over Walsh for the extra cash but the players that I was looking at trading (Sheezel, Ashcroft, Ridley) were all good so might be a moot point for now so hopefully it doesn't punish me too much.

Hoping one of Davey/Simpson play next week otherwise might be left with a donut without trading. Happy I managed to get Humphrey and before that Weddle because I'm still stuck with a bit of non playing deadweight and not as many trades as I'd like (Cincotta,Constable, Sturt, Bytel, Johnson(hoping he's back soon given he was handy as sub).

Getting some great onfield scores for most of my players so hoping for some of these guys back to help me through byes and get the money needed to finish my team.

Looks like I spoke too soon with the Oliver injury news, looking at Zerrett to replace him as someone who would give me a bit of a bank boost as well as suiting my team's bye structure.

If I may ask for some advice, what should I do with Will Day? Currently $490,000. Hasn’t gone near scoring 100 for several weeks (scored 74 this week). Do I just accept his current form and hope that he plays better, or do I trade him out?

I have him too and he's becoming a worry, but bear in mind the Eagles coach insisted on tagging him even though they lost by over 100 points LOL
His scores have been dropping every week since he came back from his suspension, not ideal!
If you have a good amount of trades left and some spare money maybe consider moving him on to someone more reliable.
I might have to hold him because I am desperately low on trades.

He's s keeper imo. Ratten is playing him in the midfield.

That's not a good thing. They're going to get annihilated in the midfield 99% of the time. We want him getting those delicious cheapies in defence. Id expect him to bleed significantly in a midfield role.

Baldwin the only rookie I’m tempted by this week. Looks really good down there. Kelly and eventually Laverde to come back in eventually. Likely will wait for injury news and team selection again before committing. Could bring in Baldwin, Merrett and Steele if I’m lucky.

Yeah he's not much of a scorer, that's kinda not his bag lol, 3 scores in the 20's now.

He was tagged and would hold. Many have him, in a year where rookies are not raining $$ upon us, a premium injured every week, Day as a value play is fine. Unless someone is bleeding cash (he isn't), then hold and can always consider around the byes where you trade them to a premium who have played that week.

Maybe Sam Simpson/Cincotta to someone or dealing with Oliver (Neale/Brayshaw/Steele possible replacements) if he's out for a bit.
14 trades left but so happy with Weddle, Humprey and Mitchell this week. Finalising the team might actually be doable thanks to their efforts.
