Just saw this bloke on the bubble, yeah BE92, that's all right... Perhaps lucky I can't buy this bloke instead of Humphries... there is always next week Mr Yeo!

Keeping Oliver at this stage. Can understand the logic if he gets you 2 premiums with cash freed up but for my side he is effectively only missing 2 weeks since i should have 18-19 premos rd 13 and then he has his bye which every player you bring in for him will eventually have. See alot of teams saying theyll go Day/Sheezel to him but where are they finding 180k to do this with lack of cash gen and bigger priorities to get off field. Unless youve nailed every rookie and have ridiculous team value it seems far fetched.
My trades will be S.Simpson -> Laird with most of the $360k i have in the bank and likely S.Ryan -> Wardlaw. Not fully sold on Wardlaw yet but lack of other rookie options and i can see Ryan being rested or subbed out and losing much needed cash
Not keen on going early on rookies (Ford, Wardlaw), not keen on any current bubble rookies, not keen on trading out Oliver as I can't see a path to get him back later, might just sit on my hands this round and save some trades.
- Parish and Setterfield out
- Xavier O'Neill (WCE notorious midfield tagger) omitted
- $582k, 72 BE
- 3 round avg of 112
- Second-half of last season avg 117 (6 out of 11 games he scored 130+) versus first-half avg of 106
Thank you so much, everyone. I truly appreciate your advice. I was perplexed about the interest in Zach due to him scoring inconsistently, and only being ranked the 25th-ranked overall midfielder. I think I can now see some of his potential.

You'd think Wardlaw being a top 5 draft pick who was straight in as soon as he was healthy, and is selected on ball would be safer than the guy who has been been no better than fringe for 3 years
But, Wardlaw also has injury history, and is 60k more expensive (although if going early, being the more expensive option might be better as it will allow an easier correction if you go the wrong way)

Thanks for your input. Was leaning towards Wardlaw, but definitely feeling more comfortable with that decision now. Well... as comfortable as you can be going early on a rookie in a season like this.
I would if nothing else is pressing and you have the trades, onfield rookie vs non playing coming into the byes. If you can afford to do it helps, you only lose Cincotta DPP status.
FWIW Cincotta is playing (Edited so @frosty and others don't get medical problems! lol) VFL now https://www.afl.com.au/fixture?Comp...dds=1&GameWeeks=10&Teams=88&Venues=96#byround
Simpson out Humphries in
Looking more likely Oliver to Merrett as the second trade.
I can cover him this week and next with Callaghan/Johnson!
But 4 weeks may be too long, it's the great unknown isn't it! 1,2,3 or 4 weeks?
Nah, changed the goalposts and decided Oliver to Sicily is the play.
Along with Simpson to Humphrey.
Was able to fix up my DPP's as well which had been bugging me!
Now to sit back and watch the points roll innnnnnnn
