Strategy 2023: Round 17 Trades

If you haven't posted in the NTLC thread then I suspect you're still following these trade threads with interest.

I have completed my 22 on-field positions, Oliver included, so unless teams throw some unexpected OUTs then I'm likely to hold onto my remaining trades for another round.

Is Johnson > Mills as bench cover worth it? Would really prefer a MID/FWD DPP instead but Mills is going to be ridiculously cheap for a player that can average 110 from here. I still have Steele on field so could rotate him and Mills on the run home.

Have $150k sitting in the bank in anticipation of bringing back Oliver, but God knows what that will be. Might just save the cash.

Could go Sheldrick to Mills in one trade making him M 9 but would only leave 2 trades. Probably not worth it. Sheldrick is doing fine at M 9.

Looking to hold my 5 trades next round. Hoping that I will have Sicily and Oliver back by round 18 at worst. Fingers crossed Jeremy Cameron is right to go next week, otherwise I might have a little shuffle round of players to move sheldrick into my forward line for one of Maric/Harrison with Johnson/Fletcher covering Oliver.

Will bring in Mills at least. Contemplating a late "blow it up move" using 3 trades to go from 6->3. Would likely be something like Ashcroft, Fyfe and Johnson to something like Mills, Cerra and bench donut But need to think about it. Could also trade Day out for a bigger kitty, but Day and Fyfe are currently on field. Fyfe the theoretical last upgrade to "complete", but am in the "don't have good enough players on field" phase now.
