Oliver is the worst hold I've ever done in my time playing SuperCoach. Can't believe I held on for so long. Was hoping he would be back already but his latest setback means it's time to trade now.

My trades below:

Keeping S.Mitchell for defensive cover on the bench. Looping Sheldrick to cover for Dunkley this week. Got no idea what Cunningham's JS is like but here's hoping he stays in the Carlton side. Hopefully Maric keeps his place in the West Coast side too.

Leaves the team looking like this:

Not sold on Cunningham, Injuries have a way of following certain players; and could be risky! He also doesn't help you with any flexibility with M/D coverage. If you still have a few trades up your sleeve no worries then :p

If you're in my situation below... do you trade Fyfe to Sheldrick? I'm 11k short of Mills...

This looks like a tough one. I don’t think I have a perfect solution for you, but a few thoughts:

- Unfortunately I think you’re going to be minimizing the number of donuts from here, rather than eliminating them. In a strange way that can be good, in that you don’t necessarily panic about copping one this round, for example. [I reckon a few people would happily take back a trade that they made over the byes to cover a donut, for example.] It looks like you’ve had some bad luck with your bench, so premo injuries will be harder to cover.

- I would hold my final trade as long as I reasonably could. Ie I don’t think I’d be doing one up one down soon, unless you’re very confident that it’s the right call.

- Adding DPP potential looks very important. I don’t think I’d bring in anyone who doesn’t have DPP or help facilitate pairs of DPPs etc.

- If you have to trade for an injury, I’d suggest prioritising the ones that are definite long term outs (eg a suspension is always more certain than an injury, etc). It sounds obvious, but people don’t always do it if they’re at different price points and they want a better in, for example. If someone’s done an ACL you know you can’t get lucky holding them, but with an MCL you might get lucky.

- Durabilty, and where possible JS, are probably key considerations for your remaining ins.

Overall I would say you’re probably looking for two value players with DPP and a high chance to play out the season. If Sheldrick fits the bill, that sounds good to me, but if you’re unsure, I’d look for someone you have more confidence in.

Option 1 sounds good to me.

Trades are going at a premium at this point.
Appreciate the feedback!
Considering a going actually going the Libba and Dewar route as I realised I can actually use Seamus Mitchell to cover three different lines due to all the DPP going on. He and Maric would be my only cover but I still keep 3 trades so not too bad.

Yep got a few trades left. In fact I modified one of my trades above. Kept Melican and traded out S.Mitchell instead. With my trades running low, the extra cash could come in handy when I need it.

Yeah Mills hasn't showed anything this season, not to say he won't but it's a bit like jumping on Steele and not being happy when he punches out sub 90 scores

That does sound pretty good (assuming you’re happy with Mitchell’s JS, which I haven’t heard real concerns about). Maric might win/have won himself a secure spot as well.

Really appreciate the write up Darkie, I like Sheldrick's JS and honestly even if Fyfe was to return in 1-2 weeks, Sheldrick is literally 89 points off of Fyfe's total score this season. Likely a net positive in that timeframe.

Have made the obvious trade. My final, precious trade remains a complete emergency sideways over the next 8 weeks.
