Hey guys - my first year playing FPL and would love some direction. I've moved to London and this is my plan to get into the EPL more by starting with fantasy.

I think I went ok in GW1 - scoring 66.
Trying to work out the best approaches to strategy within FPL. I understand the basics of seeking as many players in form and scoring well to raise their prices, so I can eventually bring in more and more premium players across each line.
With that in mind, the one I feel like I don't want to miss the boat on Chilwell. I don't have the funds to get him this week.
But would a move like Trossard out and Rodrigo Hernandez in be a move that you would suggest considering that would likely afford me the money to buy Chilwell next week for likely Cash or Gabriel.

Would love any insight into how people plan transfers etc.

Also - can you reverse transfers prior to the gameweek starting or is it locked in immediately once I do it?
As only 11 players score pts, the best strategy is to keep as little value on the bench. Mitoma on the bench is too much.

Rodri is a holding midfielder and usually doesn't score well. He's just had a lucky start to the season. He can't sustain this form.

Many have an 8th attacker that costs only 4.5. They usually don't score well, but they minimise the value left on the bench.
As Trossard doesn't look like starting, he should go for a 4.5. Pick one from a team you're not likely to want 3 players from.
Maybe Nakamba given he's too good for LUT. Should start every game he's fit (and not suspended).

Gabriel has all of a sudden fallen out of favour. No one saw that coming. Maybe he'll start now that Timber was injured, but then Tomiyasu came on after the injury, and he's a RB (covered LB). Zinchenko is usually in that position, and he's due back from injury soon.
Chilwell is a good long term prospect, so might be worth taking a hit and getting him in now. He has a good fixture, and could even repay the cost this week. He's also likely to go up in price again between now and next week, and all units are precious in the early stages.

Could turn out to be pretty popular in FPL too at 4.0
Bringing him in for 3-4 weeks might not be worth it. Plus there's a limit of 3 players from any one team.
At least in DT, he might provide some cash and there's no limit on players from a team.
I've got Nic Jackson and Chilwell, and might think about Sanchez or Sterling. Gusto would block that in FPL.

North Melb.
I think im going to sideways Gabriel now in Fantasy....too much unknown and i cant risk him being subbed in late again, although i doubt he is. Disasi would seem the best option for me i think!

"I play as a No 6 and I'm like a bit more [of a] defensive player. I think I can help this club defensively and I will have good organisation in the middle. I think that's my job.

The signing could prove to be an astute one by Liverpool. Only four players created more chances from open play than Endo in the Bundesliga last season and although he stands at 5ft 10in, no midfielder won more than his 219 aerial duels during his time in the German top flight, winning 2.2 from 3.7 per 90 minutes.

The Japanese James Milner. A proper professional. Very pleased with this signing.
Wondering if we just went for Caicedo to pump up his price.

He's 30 years old and it's unknown if he'll be able to put up with the strength and pace of the EPL.
But for 16m, even if we get a year out of him, it's good business.
He played 99/102 in Bundesliga, so should be OK for our EPL push. Kids can get a run in Europa for some experience.

Pep Guardiola says John Stones and Bernardo Silva will not face Newcastle United on Saturday evening.

Speaking to the media in his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, Guardiola stated that Stones is suffering from a muscle injury.

Meanwhile, Bernardo missed Wednesday's UEFA Super Cup meeting with Sevilla due to illness and has not yet fully recovered.

The Catalan did have a message of hope regarding Ruben Dias however, who could make his return after concussion.

"John is out and Bernardo is out and Ruben I don’t know. Ruben maybe he will be fit," said Guardiola when asked who will be unavailable.

"[Stones is a] muscular issue. Last training he did not feel comfortable. I don’t know how long he will be out."

Lowe very tempting, but I'll give him one more week and maybe boost him in next week if he can get another 10 pts.
Hoping he'll be as good a cash cow as Varane, with minimal outlay.

Could be, but just too risky for that opposition.
I think the issue is price. 6.5 in FPL ain't cheap, especially relative to Wissa and Pedro.

In DT, there's a few cheapo cash cows ahead of him. Probably the timing isn't right on many fronts.
