Perfect fit for Geelong. They are the Official Partner of the AFL for Recycled Players. Also understand they have a great pension plan, free seniors card for anyone over 35 and the reason the stand down there is taking so long to build is because they redirected funds into building a retirement village for their ex players.
Port and Geelong seem to me to be the only 2 clear options, most of the other clubs are fairly set I'd reckon? Sydney if Grundy deal falls thru!
West Coast may take him to help out Williams for a season without NicNat?
Has there been any more news on Darcy movements?
Maybe Freo use his currency, if he wants to move on and they take Goldy for a season to support Jackson?
$750,000
He's just not that good!!!!!
It's amazing how overpaid these club jumpers are.
I reckon all UFA's owe it to themselves to change clubs, and boost their career earnings by 50-100%!
Me too. Definitely needed an outside voice with a new gameplan. Feel for Mini and nothing but respect for him. Hopefully he can find a senior gig somewhere else as it's definitely not easy to pick up the reigns halfway through the season.

A few interesting coments I came across from someone in the know about the McKay situation... Be interesting to see if true but definitely sounds like the work of Dodoro, lol
"I know the exact offer and (obviously) can't state the details. The offer in place can't trigger band 1 under any circumstances so if North get band 1 compensation then the AFL have thrown some special sauce on there."
"The offer in place is specifically so it doesn't trigger band 1 compo as Essendon don't want to dilute their first round pick. They are prepared to pay 2 second rounders for McKay if North match."

In their infinite wisdom, the AFL haven't gone down the road of awarding our mediocrity with a priority pick... despite us winning just 12 games of football in 4 YEARS!!
If it takes getting a juiced up pick 3 for a free agent offer to come out ahead of something for once I think we'll take it.

Lol North won’t be taking 2nd rounders despite what we all think of him. The only way North don’t match it is if the compo pick is pick 3. Otherwise Ess will be giving up a lot more than 2 2nd rounders to get their man.
