What did they say? Anything important?
Not much. These were my mental notes:
  • Koschitzke would be a good replacement for Jack Riewoldt.
  • Koschitzke wouldn't cost much - 3rd/4th rounder or later.
  • Richmond need to use 'moneyball' tactics.
  • Our midfield is slow outside of Bolton.
  • Balta is better as a key back, but not on the very last line (makes lots of mistakes).
  • A caller suggested playing Gibcus forward next year.
  • A caller suggested they heard a rumour that Harmes from Melbourne wants to go to Punt Rd.

And it took this long for the first utterance of “Moneyball” on trade radio. Surely with all the dead air to fill and to keep the advertisers happy, then finally a dissertation will be provided clearly explaining the theory behind Moneyball and the application to AFL teams. :ROFLMAO:

What do Essendon think about this? 🤔

With all due respect to Goldie, who has been a good player for a long time, he likely has 1 (maybe 2 max) years left. Why would Essendon want him?
There's a link with the current Essendon coach, who is his previous coach. Also Draper undergoing surgery, so good back up for them.

'Moneyball' just makes me think of Brad Pitt. 😁

Thank goodness, the pain has now subsided, no more torture, unless the Scott brothers decide to reinvent him. 😉
All year he sat in my SC team and I kept wondering when he would play. The answer was never. 😔

In serious though, good luck to Charlie in his new ventures, whatever they may be.
