My horse came 4th in Race 3, not 2nd. Similar name though, I can understand the confusion.

As a suggestion why don’t we make that if your horse gets scratched you get a default selection. Thinking either the favourite (lowest value) or maybe the long shot (lowest likelihood). At least then your chances haven’t totally evaporated.

Something to consider. I think it's just a case of bad luck if it happens though to be fair.

It was close, but my selection (Serpentine) came third in Race 7. The rest seems to match what I have in post 40.
