With Taipans having DGR rounds from now to round 13 I think (bar 1 single round where every team only plays once) I'm using my 2 trades this week getting in Klintman and Miller. This will give me Miller/Jackson-Cartwright as my starting guards for most rounds now through to round 14. Only need to tweak forward and try to get Williams as my starting centre (try to do for start of round 6 by doing Hukporti to Williams). Currently ranked 823 but this is mainly due to bad captains over the last few round e.g. Valentine round 3 and Browne in round 4.

Team currently is -

Travers & Klintman bench - Goulding/Sarr
Hukporti bench - Olbrich
Miller & PJC bench - Robinson/Ayre

Good luck to everyone.

Bit unsure on what to do this week. McCarron needs to go, that is basically set in stone.

How I do that is the main question - there is not a lot to do at Guard right now. I have PJC and one of Robinson/Ili to play so I’m not even sure bringing Miller in this week is the right decision. Miller is probably a next week trade in despite the likely cash increase.

Can shift McDaniel down and bring in Klintman which seems the obvious move and generate 75k.

The issue is McDaniel is a potential trade out option despite his double, but if I trade him with McCarron I have to bring in a guard.

The main consideration is whether I want to trade Creek out to set me up for the next 6-7 rounds. If I trade Creek I’d generate 120k by going to Waardenburg or Cheetham / Lamb which solves the potential cash issues next week with Waardenburg / Pinder (90% sure it’s will be Waardenburg) potentially bought in at Centre for Hukporti. Still fielding Hukporti this round in his 50/50 minutes split with JLA cause he will be facing Illawarra in one of the games.

This is the trade that makes the most sense.
Leaves me 200k ITB next week to trade 1 of Robinson / Ili for Miller and Hukporti / Travers to a proper Centre whether that’s a Pinder, Williams etc or another Cairns player, though thinking just Waardenburg.

So likely Creek > Cheetham / Lamb, McCarron > Klintmann then next week Ili/Robinson to Miller, Hukporti > Waardenburg.

Question

I'm looking at Pinder over Waardenburg

PInder has SGR, DGR, SGR, DGR Ave. 30.7
Waardenburg has DGR, DGR, SGR, DGR Ave. 24

I'm actually leaning Pinder
Thoughts?

Argh, I started so well, ranked 337 and I haven't managed to recover from Captain Cook. After making up some ground last week, I chose to forego burning my 3rd boost last week in preparation for this week - all that ground, lost. It's like digging a hole in a dry sandpit.

Total points sitting at 1,299 which is 297 points behind 1st place, I'm ranked 2,366 and I'm losing the grip on breaking back into the top 1k, painful.

Anyway, onto the highly anticipated round 5. Third boost, all in on Cairns (until further notice).

I'm feeling your pain. I was ranked 117 after round 1 and only 20 points off the lead. 3 rounds later I'm ranked in high 800's which is mainly down to my captain choice. I have found that by doing NBL supercoach it has me watching more basketball. Best of luck for rest of the season👍

Well, two in game injuries means another boost to get three players on the double this week to attempt to stay competitive.

So, early week trades are:

Creek, Scott & Galloway to Sobey,Waardenberg & PJC.
Gosh, Cummings makes 3 in game injuries last week. Might need to revisit these trades.

Trying to decide whether it’s worth using another boost to trade out K.Galloway to Waardenburg for the points, or K.Galloway to Gak to save money and keep the money for next week so I can bring in Williams for Huk.
Seems to me as I’m writing this that the best option might just be to save the boost, any thoughts/ideas greatly appreciated IMG_6414.jpeg

Decided to use my 3rd boost this week to save cash and set me up for the next 4-6 weeks.

Final trades are:

Olbrich, Creek, McCarron OUT
Cheatham, Klintman, Waardenburg IN

- Waardenburg starts in C, Hukporti is benched. - Cheatham starts over Klintman.
- 9 DGR + Sarr with set up for 6 next week prior to trades.
- Thought about Norton but rather just get NZ/Cairns players at this point and hold McDaniel to get exposure to Brisbane guard rotation
- Likely downgrade next week to Armstrong / Bannan to get Miller. Have Robinson / Ili on doubles in guard spot so doesn’t make sense to get Miller this week when forwards are a more pressing issue.
