Id love KDB &/or Maddison too but it would take 2 trades to get Odegaard up to either and i dont think i can afford to spend another 2 trades on 'upgrades' at this point of the season. Equally, i would like to trade Flekken to a better keeper but again in the long run, i dont think its worth it.
Good to hear you are having another good round! Definitely like the option of waiting for the right time for Maddison/KDB. With trades dwindling, patience is needed. Injury could make opportunity to grab one or later on there may be a chance for a luxury upgrade but for the moment, conserving trades would have to be the priority.
Then again, its my first season so take everything i say with a grain of salt....& good luck!
GK positions are one we've historically not worried about. This year however, it's made a difference.
Flekken has been poor, drifting away from the peloton. Hard to know who to move to though.
I guess if trades are scarce, you just have to hold and hope for the best.
Usually, every club goes through a good run of games. His time might be coming too.
I'm thinking about flipping JWP for KDB. But their injury records tell me JWP is a keeper, and KDB is a risk.
JWP has barely missed minutes in the last 4-5 seasons, and will get you pts week in, week out.
But he can't keep scoring PKs, and his value is as good as it gets. Gonna be a season defining decision.
KDB meanwhile has that massive ceiling, and having him and as captain, is one player you want.
Maddison I will wait. Price dropping rapidly, and Spurs have byes coming up. I don't think there's any rush to get him in.
You're doing quite well if this is your first season, and there's nothing wrong with your strategy.
If you've played AFL DT, then you know what to expect come end of season. Trades are gold.
