Although not in my side, this was a bit harsh. I'd definitely approve a 50 from a premium at half-time.

Beyond harsh. Walsh came in and averaged 87 in his first year and made $250k if you cashed him out at his peak.

Having a $200k rookie sit around 75-85 is better than you could ever hope for.
Yeah ridiculous comment. Has the Phantom ever done anything in SC?
I think there has been a misinterpretation of the comment as it was not supposed to be taken seriously. Moreso making light of unrealistic expectations on the high picks both from a SC and non SC perspective coupled with either coaches removing/reconsidering him or questioining his ability recently.

The Phantom's quite obviously being facetious here.

Rankine is a class player even without CBAs should increase his average a bit and with a few midfield rotations could send him into the top few forwards. Would have like to see a few more centre bounces today.
138SC points with 59% TOG, I wouldn't complain. More TOG is what I would like to see...

Ah yeah, fair enough. My fault for not reading the rest of the comments!

I agree with your distinction.

To me a player can be value at any price, although I think everyone is essentially in agreement in picking rookies and premiums that meet the “value” label.

I think it’s the value midpricers (your price ranges being reasonable in my view) where opinions start to diverge a bit more.

English was definitely not in the midpricer category, but I think he was in the value premium category, and one that most people didn’t choose because of the injury risk. He came up in the context of this discussion (which was admittedly a little earlier, and might not be obviously connected in the minds of other posters!):

Agree with everything you say here. I think value and mid priced is what people are thinking of when using the term "mid pricer".

I had Yeo last season, and I am too nervous to go again. On the other hand, Fyfe I am okay with as he is a proven performer and will only in my team for the first 6-7 games until I can upgrade him.
I’m with you. Pretty sure I had him in draft last year and was a bit of a wasted pick in the end.

I’m rarely attached to any starters myself and with the extra trades, could be worth a punt with the plan to offload to whichever bolter puts their hand up if Yeo doesn’t look like getting it done.

I guess it depends on how many of these types you have (I have a few lol)

Any reason why Libba hasn't been spoken about as much? I know last year he scored well above what he's done previously but I don't see why he can't repeat it. Same role and same midfield as last year. Guess he is 31 going on 32...
Age - 32 years old now/ historically past his best.

Been mentioned many times on this forum before 😉
