The new momentum. Once it enters their lexicon, good luck in removing it. Dimwitted slobs showing the full effects of CTE on a weekly basis.
You're far kinder than I am describing them!

Thoughts on D'Ambrosio? Is his position secure, thinking him at D4, Williams D5.
I like him as a player and it seems to be his spot to lose but I always fear that type at Hawthorn as even after getting rid of a couple they have an awful lot of those rebounding defender/wing types and they also use a few of their young genuine mids on wings also.

I expect their round 1 team looks like:

B: Impey Phillips Frost
HB: Amon Sicily Scrimshaw
C: D'Ambrosio Newcombe Mackenzie
HF: Moore (if fit) Lewis Watson
F: Ginnivan Chol Breust
R: Reeves Nash Worpel
Int: Macdonald Hardwick Maginness Hustwaite Ward

Bench is more or less in order of selection, imo.

I wouldn't be playing Gunston but he definitely could be picked.

They have Morrison, Jiath (4-6), Day (sounds like a month), Weddle and Mitchell that will all be fighting for those positions. Day I think pushes our Hustwaite/Ward. Jiath seems like it would be D'Ambrosio/Mackenzie/Maginness. There's a couple of the kids who could also push for a chance.

Basically I think he gets a couple of weeks and if he plays well, he gets a couple more but definitely not a clear best 22 guy yet.

If he was 100k cheaper I'd consider but he's priced in that real no man's land and I'd just be so surprised if he could push keeper numbers given his ball use. No real idea how the Tigers will play stylistically either. Worth watching today though to see what he produces. I'm not sure what could convince me to start him but he's not completely out yet still!

If anyone has brought in Heeney, but feels a bit unsure about it, there’s another option at just 10k more: Sam Flanders.

- Averaged 106 in the second half of last year after moving to new role
- Only needed <40% CBAs to generate those scores
- Has DPP flex
- No issue with multiple teammates returning from injury to push him out of his best scoring role
- Coach made the below comments recently (whereas Horse has already said he was considering moving Heeney forward during last night’s game)

“I think this guy is going to take the AFL world a little bit by storm. I looked at him toward the back end of the year once I became interested in the Suns job and I couldn’t believe the talent that this boy has got. His capacity to run, he’s a really good user of the ball, he’s incredibly smart and I think he will reach the potential this club invested in him. He’s only going to get better. For all those people who play SuperCoach out there get this kid in your side, we’re going to feed him as much as we can.”
Por que no los dos?

Good for Howes. The second he went down from that mechanism that's all I thought it would be. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery for Bowey.

Fair comment @Bigboy
Sometimes I realise I have a blind-spot whereby I just sort of dismiss a player who deserves serious consideration.
I dont know Berry's style of play really - I just logging into Kayo for last week praccy game to see what I missed
I watched a half vs WCE and Berry looks really good - he's young and very fit & was hunting the ball really well
What happened to him last season? - his 2022 stats were promising

He can't kick, he can't play any other position and they've got Laird, Dawson and then Crouch returned. He played crap the first few round so they gave Soligo, Rachele, Schoenberg, Keays and then Crouch the chance. With Rankine also going through there just got starved out.

What he does, he does very well and he can really score for fantasy. It's just hard to see where he really fits in with Laird, Dawson and Crouch and then Rankine to also push through, feels like the leftover still. Might be a really solid pick though, Crows play annoyingly late in the round for a guy who is semi-structural price wise.

Definitely an option though. If he's improved his disposal then that would seriously help his cause as it's been a major issue. Same way that Keays, despite his ability to win and hunt the pill and man, can't sustain a midfield role because of it. Nicks clearly values disposal from his mids.

Going to be really interesting which way people go with R3 if Naismith is named next week. A fair bit of awkwardness in selecting a donut in another position if Daicos VC gets off the chain.
I've had Livingstone there since I picked Jackson. If Naismith makes it to a third game, I'll trade him in for the cash but I don't expect him to get there early in the season, they've been saying Nank for round 1 for a couple of weeks now so seems pretty likely. Plus, a huge part of Jackson's value is that he covers for Grundy and Gawn so makes sense to have that open.

Would obviously take Sweet if he somehow ended up the R1 without Soldo but he wont, so I feel safe planning around that.

It's pretty much anything stupid or wrong that BT says that gets me; so effectively something every minute....
It's every word BT says that frustrates me. He has to be the worst commentator! His little segment after the game where he gets in everyone's face, is even worse if there is a worse.
Luckily this will be the last year we have to hear BT's commentary... The new broadcasting deal kicks in next year and Foxtel will be providing their own commentary crew for every game of every round.
