Will have potentially missed a wholle upgrade cycle at D8 by then. I find dead rookies early in the year can have a horrible snowball effect on your sides cash generation. Better off prioritising fixing them at the first opportunity.
Yep completely agree.

I’m doing Reid to T Brown this round. Last chance really to fix it.

I suspect Essendon will be ultra conservative on Reid and give him 1-2 games in the VFL before letting him play AFL.

Should set up a handy downgrade option back to Z Reid in 4-5 weeks time.

I can't see Dempsey being dropped, I see him in the same boat as Roberts and McKercher. If he makes another 150k is it worth it after his price rise?
I can't see how they gave Dempsey a projected score of 101? He is good, and I traded him in last week, but is he that good against the Bulldogs?

With Hore now joining the long line of defender rookies on the sidelines, I cast my mind back about a month before Rd0 and remember a coach putting up a team in RMT with a 5 deep defence, I really hope he went through with it because he’d be well ahead of the pack right now as we’re all putting out spot fires.
Yes that’s always the killer by going deep in a certain line-you’ve got to get them right to start with or you’ll be sideways trading, having said that though you’ve probably saved trsdes by not having Gibcus, Reid, Coff, McDonald and now Hore.?
I went 4 def premo deep + Z Williams. Then Gibcus, Reid and Howes.

Gibcus went up to Mass in R2.

Nearly did Reid to Coffield or Hore in R2 but luckily didn’t.

Happy with the set up now. Had wondered if it was wrong in R1 as there were so many DEF rookie options…!

I was just looking at Tom Brown, has a nice kick on him, what's his JS like at Richmond?

They have a few injuries so do we expect they'll persist with him?

Sethlad was pretty positive on T Brown’s JS, and that was before the Balta / T Lynch news.

Scored a 69 last season and two 60s so far so seems a solid 1-percenter bench option (without being one of those game changing cash makers).

I'd say with Trezise injured he's fairly safe, even with Grimes due back.
He plays tall & is a very good user, couple of bullets hitting targets at vital times today.
Safe bench option

Exactly this. Initially I was hesitant but then looked over my team, particularly at D'Ambrossio who I happily bought into at 224k hoping he'd make 150k, and saw that it'd be hypocritical of me to knock him back just because he's already made 70 odd k.

Correct - I only had Reid from that group.

I still used those trades on Short & Young though, so I don't really feel like i've saved them there! :ROFLMAO:

Can't stop playing around with trades this week. Does the below look crazy?

Out: Daicos, Fisher, and Fyfe
In: Whitfield, Heeney, and Darcy

1 up, 1 down, and 1 correction. If McGuiness plays this week, I think there is a possible $50k gain from moving on Daicos to Whitfield. Daicos can come back in with an upgrade from Massimo, etc when he finally finds form.

Personally I feel it was last week or never for trading Daicos. Already taken $27k of the cash hit plus missed a lot of trade targets before their price increased. We’ve seen that carrying a premium in the bye isn’t that bad so him missing that week isn’t the home run it could have been, and the cash benefit just isn’t enough I don’t think.

With the Wines news I'm seriously thinking of flicking him to Willem Drew, has a BE 18 and is doing the job that I started Wines for, has 2 big 100's to cycle through and is only 1% owned. Have a feeling that a POD like this could revert back to 80's which would screw the show
I think this has some merit ....

Developed very nicely from a fringe player into our key shut down (run with) player ... like Steele and Miller started out ...

- one of my favourites as whilst he didn't get many touches during that time I can't recall many times of him ever wasting one of the few he got ...
- very composed under pressure ... and can kick a goal now we have seen ...
- seems to have now been unleashed offensively ...

Did think it was a bit extreme, but have missed the Heeney train. Wasn't going to go Heeney, but has an excellent draw in the upcoming weeks, and didn't want to head into the Rd 5 bye with Daicos, Grundy and Heeney missing. Am thinking of trading Grundy next week, but didn't want to have 2 premiums missing next week. Already had 2 miss last week in Green & Flanders - 2 missing hurts.

Only issue for me is the return of JHF this week.

Traded Bramble in last week, but he may go this week to get me up to Tom Green or Luke Ryan. Thoughts?
Wow - I was actually thinking about whether it was worth restructuring to bring Bramble in this week.

With an average of 96, he is doing much better than almost all the other popular midpricers ie. Bonner (85 avg.), Wardlaw (83), Fyfe (80), Jordon (80) Fisher (74), Windhager (74), Billings (60).

Z.Reid > Darcy (via Daicos/H.Reid)
Billings > T.Green (via Wilson)

Can't wait for Martin, Mckercher and Roberts to get DPP. Obviously I've got great depth in my backline but forwards are light on. Hoping Cadman and Dempsey keep up their good scoring.

Bullish on E.Hollands for next round and will likely downgrade Grundy to a cheapie ruck or forward and swing Jackson to r2. Then rounds 6 & 7 I will be aggressive and boost at least once to upgrade my forwardline. My midfield will be low priority until round 8/9 when I will go nuts upgrading my mid rooks.

At least that is what I've got planned. Doubt it will be smooth sailing but I'll make it work
