Is it crazy to choose a rookie who is going to play his first game this week, so i can afford to get bramble in for coffield?

1st trade: Sexton to Darcy done.
2nd trade, either:
Fyfe to Powell, or
Fyfe to Touk.

Fyfe to Powell leaves me with around 200k in the kitty, however I'm still not completely sold on Powell being a top 8 fwd.

Stuck big time on this one, so would appreciate anyone who has strong thoughts either way.

I already used a boost after round 1, but I'm strongly considering another to move Sexton to Tom Brown. Brown would have to be fielded just this week but I think he goes well against the Saints.

It also means I could field Wilson this week rather than looping Darcy into Cadman.

Otherwise I keep Sexton for a loop this week and save the boost.

I could also trade Laz rather than Sexton. I think Brown looks like a very solid bench option, fieldable if needed. Does anyone have thoughts on any of the above?

Is anyone considering the grass eating Matt Rowell?
Not really, is a nice POD for anyone that owns but I think there's lots of other targets like Petracca and Merrett that need to come in soon. I'd rather pay up for those guys than have a guy who's less likely to be top 8. Obviously has the role and potential but hard to see 120+ being sustainable for all the GCS mids, Miller probably better value for same output.

Well it looks like I can’t even hide behind the couch tonight watching Pink infield! Really starting to think a stacked defence was the way to go, Howes 90 seems an eternity ago. So Pink is gone for Brown, he’s got a nice draw in Saints and WC before his bye-now if he survives until then we should have the option of Roberts and Kerch to fill D5/6, of course I held Sexton in the hope of a bit more flexibility come dpp time but now he joins the list of rookies cashed out way to soon, he now makes way for Darcy -92 is to bigger carrot to ignore, Lobb in Emg is a worry, so I’ll be watching closely so Bevo doesn’t pull a swifty on me and leave me with Burgess 15!

Think I'm sticking with planned trades, delaying a Fyfe to Steele doesnt feel worth it to get Coffield to Brown and maybe gain 20 to 30 points on Howes score, ripping my side up to go all the way to a premo back also isn't practical.

Gut feel is Fyfe to Steele gains me just as many points and can deal with D6 at a later point due to the upcoming best 18s and being able to move Roberts or McKercher back.

Be interesting what Brown scores, the next fortnight matchups are good but how much ball is he getting in a defence that already has Vlastuin,Short and Rioli.

Reckon hes one where if he fits your team its a solid enough pick but unlikely to be a rook that really hurts not to own.

Scratch that with the Windhager suspension. Could still be an option depending pn the score from emergency Howes.

Out: M Windhager and J Billings
In: T Stewart and S Darcy

Lyons to Sharp an option to use a third boost.
Scratch the Howes loop option which means no Flanders to replace Lyons/Sexton. Sexton will be used to loop Darcy and Cadman this round. Boost above can be used for Coffield to Draper though not overly confident on his scoring or the alternative is to go a week late on a Sharp/Thomas type to replace Lyons.

Another option is that Clark could be selected over Stewart which would allow Powell to replace Lyons.

So, teams have given me more questions than answers.
I have Wines and Sexton and also prepared to move out Fyfe.
I was going to bring in Powell as I missed him last week, despite trading him in being the plan. Kind of my fault but also not my fault.
If I use Sexton it means Dempsey or Fyfe sit on the bench, which seems like a waste.
If I trade Fyfe I can loop Dempsey and Darcy but I can't help thinking Fyfe has a good spike game in him.
There are a few options for Wines too.
I shouldn't be having so much trouble making a decision given that whatever I choose to do will be the wrong thing to do. 😀
With Swans played out in upcoming two bye rounds, having Fyfe as depth will be handy, particularly as one game vs eagles.

So far I have done the following..

Windsor - Darcy
Billings - Powell

Do I go again and move coffield to a Draper/Brown? Or just take Howes points and wait for DPP reinforcements?

Another option is to free up cash and downgrade Jordan to someone like Dempsey? Will then have cash to look at an upgrade over the byes.

Or use some self control and actually not trade at all.

Only got to get through this week then its two best 18s before you can move Roberts or McKercher to defence, struggle to see a world where that trade is worth it especially as a boost, isn't even a gaurantee either of those guys beat Howes IMHO, I had the same decision to make.

Don't mind Jordon to Dempsey though, think hell still make plenty of money and have no real confidence in Jordon anymore.

I just hate having 2 dead rookies just sitting there not making money. I semi like brown, don’t ask me why.

And yes, I think the Jordan experiment has run its course.

I just want to wait for a rookie Im more confident in if I'm trading a 123K player out especially with DPP to bail me out on the horizon, in previous seasons I've done those trades and they very rarely actually end up worth it, Pink has just been a prime example this week of how quickly you can waste a trade.

Back your gut mate

That's my thinking and I reversed my boost and coffield to Brown trade. 46 by Howes is ok enough. Only 14 points off 60.

Makes me feel better on my Max King trade which is just a well he will get some nice price rises at least, and fingers crossed he can get some more 100s
