2/175 (Looped Howes with Reid)

Don't have a choice of taking Howes, not worth boosting for Draper or Brown who could easily put up a similar score. Couple of the GCS boys might be better downgrades down the track as well.

Traded Billings which was always going to happen, just have to decide on Whitfield v Flanders. Holding Fisher for now as much as I hate it.

Probably just have to keep Howes till his bye with defender rookies looking so dire, at least he's playing. Can't say that for some of the others clogging up our bench.

Really frustrating game watching Laird today (not his fault) considering he is a pod. 2nd qtr and 4th qtr had no stoppages to start, so he spent almost 10 min on the bench in each waiting to get on the ground. Also have to wonder what is going on in Adelaide. That's at least twice now where the game has been close and Laird has spent the last 5 min on the bench. Surely they need to be better at getting their best players on the field when it matters. Happy he was still able to get a reasonable score.

Adelaide had same issue with Dawson

Poor planning and execution

Only really hurts if Green goes 150-160+. If the expectation was that Gawn would fall in that tough range whereas you had more confidence in someone else (eg Green) going 150+, then delay using the VC rather than wasting early or straight C Green and place the VC on a rookie, etc.
Not about expectations, it's about where your donut is.

If VC’d Gawn you bank the 129. chasing a 150 from Green or Bont is only going to make you 21pts and the risk is he only scores a 100 (Bont last week) or gets injured. Risk outweighs reward in this case
No brainer. All it takes is an early injury or concussion sub and you’re kicking yourself. Even if they monster a 160 the upside isn’t work the risk!

I thought Draper was a lock for a def position? Or have I not been paying attention?

After starting Gawn over English last season I've learned my lesson and started English over Gawn tihs season.

Seems to be going well for me again. :)

I've no idea what to do about trades this round. I'm still fixing structure which is a worry, I'm very nervous about a rookie being at D6 with Williams, Mass and Bramble - flirting with danger so I need to get some confidence in that line and stability. I'm also aware I just really need to get through this round and it's best 18 again but with Sexton, Reid and Hore still in my team I could be lucky to field a best 18.
