Played: M Gawn, H Sheezel, C McKercher and Z Butters (VC)
Yet to play:
Saturday: I Heeney, J Jordon, M Roberts, B Grundy, H Reid, H Young, N Fyfe, Z Williams, T Stewart, M Bontempelli, O Dempsey and S Darcy
Sunday: T Miller, T Green, J Steele, T Brown, N Daicos and M D’Ambrosio

Solid start so far. Banked the 119 for the time being with Green, Steele or Heeney the choices if I think they can push 135-140 minimum to make it worthwhile. Third boost used to bring in Stewart, Brown and Darcy. Brown inclusion means the E will not need to be accessed from Howes but results in Sanders being benched. Selecting J Sharp/H Thomas/etc results in Daicos moving back, Sanders moving onfield and the def bench of Howes and Coffield to be fixed in the coming rounds via GC rookies or dual position announcements.

Looking forward to new recruit T Stewart in action tomorrow and hopefully H Young continuing to repay the faith.

I may be mistaken but pretty sure Coopers is only Australian owned Brewery, Get into it, good beer.
Had a night drinking Cooper's one time I was over in Adelaide.
You know that stuff they make you drink, before you have a colonoscopy? It shoots right through you, cleans you right out, but you spend about 6 hours on the toilet?
They could replace that stuff with Coopers, going by my experience!

It's the Murray River water that makes it good, adds that lovely flavour :ROFLMAO:

Held faith with LDU, gotten to the point where it's too late to trade now so will just have to ride it out and upgrade around him. There's probably a lot of reasons why this pick isn't working, mainly the improvements of Powell and Wardlaw, basically had the midfield all to himself last year. Potentially taking points off him this year. Xerri repeatedly grabbing it out of the ruck instead of tapping it down as well doesn't help, you've got a pretty good midfield below you, why don't you use them? The main reason is probably just playing in a poor team and getting beaten big each week. Looks really good in moments but then just goes missing for large periods where it's probably fair to question his work ethic.

There was talk of McKercher moving up the ground this week so decided to hold Fisher. Role looked better but just a real average player, not sure McKerchers new role is going to be any good either, looks like Lazzaro's role with a bit more CBA's.

Will roll with Heeney into Steele. Some nice scores on here, hope they continue for the rest of the week.

Martin looks a hold[/QUOTE]
Fixed it 😀
Ryan, Daicos, Sheezel, Stewart and then the next three Houston, Whitfield and Martin.

The value is there for Martin in my opinion, the quantity he gets alongside his elite TOG is just too hard for me to ignore now.
No space for Sicily, Sinclar, Young and NWM in that next teir? We are force ranking I guess. I don't have Houston or Whitfield in FWIW. What I'm more interested in not missing the one that cruises for 120ppg+ for any extended period of time. I own Ryan and Sheezel. Young and NWM are the ones at that lower price level that make me nervous, as does Stewart with his bonkers ceiling. A week ago I would have said r7 I'm buying naicos, and I probably still will, but even that might get pushed back a bit.

Add in Clark and that’s pretty close to our top 12 for the season I reckon.

This.

I’ll be very interested to see what JHF’s mid/fwd percentages look like after tonight. Looks as though he will be a top 10 forward this season if he gets dpp but probably won’t cut it if he remains a mid only.

His BE will be very low after tonight so we really need to get on board next round but it’s so tough without knowing whether he will get dpp.

I guess at worst if we jump on and he doesn’t get dpp then it should be a decent cash grab.
Only if a mid picks up an injury here. I've got enough cash for a Campbell/H Reid > E Hollands next week and that's it. Z Reid and Gibcus are awaiting different options and I can't get to JHF from them anyway. Cadman's meant to only have another 60k in him over his next three rounds and Dempsey's supposed to have 100. Will JHF go up 160 in 3 weeks? Possible I guess. He looked damn good tonight, though the Essendon midfield has me thinking that at 49 years old and 140kgs, I should give this AFL caper a crack.

Either way, if he does get DPP, which would be unlikely from what I saw tonight then we save money and probably trades by getting him in in 3 weeks. I wouldn't be overtrading any more than I already have on rookies to try and get him in before round 7

My reasoning for their non inclusion.
Highly likely Sicily gets suspended and at the moment their backline is different.
Sinclair dropping back with his calf, NWM improvement and Bonner in the team.
Wanganeen-Milera I can see in future years but not just yet.
Young I don't rate as midfielder doing defensive work.

I own Daicos, Houston and Sheezel. Looking to add Martin next and Stewart+Ryan when I can.

Sheezel 124 :):alien:
Houston 106
Powell 73
McKercher 54 :(

Sheezel is ridiculously good for how poor his team is. A 120 average is well on the cards. Houston with yet another low ton. 4 scores between 105 and 114 now. Consistency is not something Houston usually specialises in! Took 5 kick ins tonight by my count (from a possible 6) so that was a good sign. Historically doesn’t tend to have too many kick ins. Only took 3 in the first 3 rounds. Powell had a very strange game with 14 touches and 15 tackles. Just looked like he didn’t care for most of the game, don’t think I saw him genuinely sprint in the first half. Played a good negating role on Neale in the second half and seemed more passionate and got involved in the offensive side too. Still think he’ll go around that 95 mark. Tough game for McKercher. Usually plays very wide on his flank and the boundaries were extremely tight. Played much more midfield today.
I'm liking the Houston pick so far even though he is yet to have the big one. Bonus tonight was the kick ins and going forward he could have an increase on last season. Port had 5 players above 26 kick ins last season with McKenzie and Williams out of the team now.

Yeah, the reasons you post are great for not starting them. 120pt streaks can happen and all of them have a trigger to observe:
Agree on Sicily. When Phillips gets a run, he is in for me.
Sinclair/NWM I've got open mind to, but your reasons are sound, watching how the NWM balance play out.
Young is (back) in for me when Fyfe breaks.

Houston, again last night didn't do anything to change my mind he is going on a hot streak.

Whitfield. Scoring well, playing well. I thought Issac Cumming was back sooner 🤔 but still 4-5 weeks away. Probably this week or let it sail, preferably have started.

Yeah with Holmes as honourable mention. And I won't mention Yeo (oops), but perhaps McGov/Duggan are a play, as Witherden looks to have missed the KI duties.

Yep, he's moving there, Williams to D6 in R7, patiently waiting for him to fire up!!! I'll be culling those rookies as well.
